We'll be in Florida Jan 6-13, 2024, staying offsite. That first weekend is the Marathon. We are planning on doing the parks on Mon, Tues, Thur, and Friday (after the Marathon). Will it be crazy-busy?

We haven't been back since 2020 before the virus hit. However, we went one time at the tail end of a marathon. Can't remember which Spring month it was. Anyway, it was very, very crowded then. You could tell the difference. We knew we would be there at the tail end of the race, but thought most people would go home after the race. Wrong!
I wouldn't do it again if I could avoid it. But that was Before Covid, so I dont' know what it's like now. Hope this helps.
This question has probably been asked a thousand times...well this is 1001! I am running the Dopey
and my wife is running/walking the 5K this Jan. Is there a pace that you need to maintain for the 5K (ie 16/mile) or
can you just walk leisurely around Epcot and collect your medal at the end?? I cannot find this info on RD
Website.....Thanks!!

For the 5K, in essence the overall 16-minute mile requirement applies to the last person to cross the Start line - Disney doesn't begin timing that pace until that person crosses the Start line. That allowed DH and me to walk the 5K in 2017 - we made sure we were close to the gate for our corral so we were among the first out of it, and we kept moving except for one quick potty break and one photo. I think it took us an hour? But we were not the last people to cross the finish line, and we didn't even see the "balloon ladies" who come behind everyone to designate where that 16-minute mile pace is!

the 5K is untimed (except for Dopey runners) - they will close the course and remove the character lines though, and eventually shut down the finish line, but not for at least an hour and half after the start.

I have ran the Disney run many times, always enjoying the park. The runs are so early in the morning 5am that you likely will see very little impact , except on Sunday when the marathon is occurring. Have fun
