We've never gone during this time and I was just wondering how the crowds would be possibly during the last week April - maybe the first week of May?
Thanks

Hi Princesslondon. We are going during that timeframe as well. From what I have heard, the crowds are pretty good as is the weather!

Hope you have a great time and maybe we'll see you there.

here's my 2 cents, for what it's worth.....1st week of May is when we ALWAYS go to the world(until this year) low crowds, weather is sunny and hot (Sizzle-Sizzle) Bring sunscreen. Park hours are shorter, though, but we didnt mind, the crowd levels were down and we arre early risers anyway. Dont miss the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot!!!Have fun!!:)

that is good to hear - when you say warm (sizzle-sizzle) how warm exactly do you mean? What is the approx during the day and does it get really cool in the evenings?

My Husband and I were looking at the same time frame and the Disney CS said that crowds are still up...but what about the weather? I can be a nice person if its not so hot.
The humity has a lot to do with it too.....Any one with experience visiting during this time?

The end of April is beautiful weather but the last time we were down they closed the magic kingdom for Fri & Sat nite for Grad night. A little upsetting because we went to all the other parks to save the fireworks and spectromagic. Guess I am glad I found these boards, this shouldn't happen again I hope. A few families with young kids though were really dissappointed though. Is there a place where we can find the extra events that will happen? Just need to be prepared. Also the parks close earlier too.

The last 2 years we've went during the 1 st week of May. Maybe it was a heatwave. Not being a native of Florida I really cant be sure, but everyday it was in the low 90's......Everyday! I didnt care NY had like 4,000 inches of snow last winter, so we didnt mind the heat. My DS tried to get me to go into Ice Station Cool in Epcot one day, and I was like " What are you, nuts, I can stay home for this #@$*!" I would go in May again in a flash!!!:)

This is when we are going too (April 26th-May 4th) I'm not too worried about the crowds because it's to be expected but I have to admit it's going to take a minute to get used to the weather...coming from NY where we get waaaay too mucn snow and cold weather from October on until mid May. Either way, I'm not complaining, I just can't wait to get outta here!!! I'm so sick of winter.

Hope everyone enjoys their trip!!!

We're going 4/24 to 5/1 too. :) I was able to book a Wishes cruise yesterday and asked the CM about how bookings were looking. He said that pretty much everything still had availabilty except for *the* most popular things that never have availability no matter what the crowds are like. The dining cm said pretty much the same thing, that it was looking "pretty good" with availability "across the board" for dining. I'm hoping that means crowds won't be too bad. :) Our last trip was from 12/28 to 1/3 so it has to be better than that! ;) We've seen it at it's worst, we're hoping for SIGNIFICANTLY less people this time (we were told to expect about 1/3 the # of people).

I've gone the first or second week of May the past 4 years. It was 90 to 95, very hot but not as humid as the summer and fall. It doesn't get very cool in the evenings, I don't even bring a jacket or sweatshirt. Wear shorts the whole time. It is a great time to go, crowds aren't bad. My Mom and I celebrated Mother's Day there 3 of the 4 years. This year we're going the first week since our AP's expire 5/10.

This is good to hear as we will be down there May3-8th. I figured it might be an off time, after spring break, and before Memorial day.Usually we go in March, but couldnt swing March, and I surely didnt want to go in April(Springbreak and all)and figured First week of May was a good alternative.

Our trip this year is May 2-12, and it will be my third Mother's Day in WDW. It is hot, but not as steamy as the summer months. It's our favorite time to go. It's just before the summer crowds, but it's hot enough for swimming, and best of all - the Flower and Garden show!

We are going on the 24th of April. Glad to hear that the crowds are not expected to be too bad. I started another thread regarding the Grad Nights - I was questioning how those influenced crowd patterns.

There's a lot of us going end of April! We're going April 22 to May 1. Woo hoo! I welcome the heat....I'm sick of these Maine winters!

That's why we moved to New Hampshire - wanted to get away from the Maine winters :)

Actually, we are very much looking forward to the warmth - it has been winter for too long!

We will be there April 22-28 and am also wondering about the crowds. Planning to do MK Sunday or Tuesday to avoid grad nights. Wow, is it really that hot at that time of year? I was hoping for 80's.
