Hi All,

DH has just suggested a last minute trip to WDW for Christmas week. It would just be 2 adults. We have never been during Christmas and wondered how crowded the parks would be. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions would be most appreicated.

We have some unused park hopper passes that are begging to be used. :rotfl:

Are you talking about the week before Christmas or the week after? From what I've heard, the week before isn't too bad, but the crowds will increase as Christmas gets closer. By Christmas Eve and all through the following week, the crowds will be the heaviest they get all year. We're leaving on the 15th and bugging out on Christmas Day. I know we'll be hitting some crowds toward the end, but hoping we'll have at least a few quiet days.

He talked about after, arriving 25th or 26th. He's traveling for work the week before so that doesn't work. I really would love to go but have heard it's pretty crowded between Christmas and New Years.

The week between Christmas and New Year is the busiest week of the year so yes it will be very crowded but I really want to be there for the NYE fireworks. We have decided to go despite the large crowds but are using the TourGuideMike website to help us plan as he tells you the best days to go to which parks and also has specific advice on how to handle the Christmas week crowds. We used him for our trip in May and his advice was spot on. Otherwise I would never ever have considered travelling on this busiest of weeks.

We will plan on visiting only our favourite attractions in the parks and spend the rest of the time just enjoying the atmosphere and taking in parades and fireworks etc.

TourGuideMike offers a moneyback guarantee so if you sign up for the site but aren't happy with it you get a refund on the fee with no questions asked. :)

Thanks for you advice. :thumbsup2 I'll pass it on to DH and we'll probably end of tossing a coin for our decision. I'll check out the TourGuideMike for our next trip for sure, whether we go this month or later. :wizard:

Knowing it will be more crowded will help us plan our park time better rather than just wandering. :goodvibes

We went last year after Christmas to NYE. The parks are very very crowded. But we had such a great time, so much so, we are going back this year.

Go early, take break in the afternoon, hit the parks at night.
