Crowds Before Thanksgiving?

I just realized that my oldest son will be out of school for the entire Thanksgiving week, not just W, Th, & F so I thought we might head down to Universal on Saturday, Nov. 20th and leave the area on the morning of Wed., Nov. 24th. (Thanksgiving is Thursday the 25th.) We've never been down at this time of year. I know that Thanksgiving weekend (Th, F, Sa, Su) is one of the very busiest times of the year but how about the weekend before and Mon. and Tues.? When do the crowds really start to arrive? My gut sense would tell me on the Wed. before the holiday. Any input?

Last year, there were no crowds before Thanksgiving or even on Thanksgiving Day. It did not get crowded until the day after Thanksgiving (Friday) and all that weekend after Thanksgiving (Saturday and Sunday.)
