Crowds Aug 30-Sept 3

Has anyone visited the parks around this time? What are the crowds like?
Also we are doing one day at the Magic Kingdom too. Are the crowds similar?

We are visiting exactly the same time - from past experience hoping it's going to be pretty quiet (ish) - although we haven't been since Harry Potter opened but have been the last 2 weeks in August a couple of times before.

We are spending the start of our vacation at Disney - it's free dining season - and as such I reckon the Disney parks will be busier but now unmanageable as a lot of schools are back in session. If you are looking for TS dining though, I would book asap as the restaurants will be very busy - I tried to change times on a couple of ADR's, unsuccessfully as they were already fully booked.

P.S. Just wanted to say as well, since you're clearly a HP fan - we are going on a Harry Potter walking tour in London next month - visiting various sites from the movies

Isn't that labor day? Any holiday is more busy than a normal day.

It's not very crowded at all, considering that it's Labor Day Weekend. Most schools in the south are back in session. We visit US/IOA and WDW for the last 2 weeks of August/beginning of September every year. Last year the HP area of the park was still pretty busy (we waited 45 minutes for FJ), but most everything else had only a 15-30 minute wait (if any wait at all).

Labor Day is September 5. Of all holidays, it tends to have almost no impact on crowds.

P.S. Just wanted to say as well, since you're clearly a HP fan - we are going on a Harry Potter walking tour in London next month - visiting various sites from the movies -Oh that sounds awesome...I would love to see pictures!
