Crowds at pools? (AKL and RIV specifically)

I have a trip planned for August 23-28th, split stay between AKL and RIV, and I think we're going to skip the parks this time. Just wondering if anyone knows how pool crowds have been lately? Thanks!

I was at AKV Kidani last week and only a couple of afternoons did the pool feel “crowded.” Even being “crowded” you still had plenty of room to social distance in the pool and there were LOTS of available pool loungers.

Not sure which resort, but on a blog I heard that some of the pools were turning away guests in the evening as the parks close because of too many people at the pool.
