Even during non-peak times, WDW is crowded. I'm wondering how Disneyland compares crowd-wise. Would I pleasantly surprised by lower crowds at DL? *fingers crossed*

Depends on when you go, depends on what day of the week you go, & depends on what time of day you go.

During the week is much better than weekends & going early in the day makes more of difference at DLR than WDW.

Have fun. :thumbsup2

EE in off season can be crazy slow in the off season. There are certain rides that will get a line early- Nemo, Peter Pan, Space Mountain. But sone will be walk on. At DCA, it is definately less crowded than the other parks at WDW. Soarin will get a linebut FP halps that

Three years ago I would have said, yes, that you would definitely find times where DLR was less busy. However, since the 50th, DLR marketing has done an incredible job keeping the parks' attendance high year round.

I have never been to WDW, but I have heard others mention the fact that since DL is smaller than the Magic Kingdom at WDW, that DL often times seems more crowded because of its narrow walkways and smaller layout.
DLR is a locals' park and a large amount of its attendees are AP holders. So you will find the parks more croweded on weekends and even weekday evenings.

Like Hound said above, you will find lower crowds mid-week year round (with the exception of Spring Break, week between Christmas/NY and President's Day week).

I think EE is early entry but they changed the name to Magic Mornings? Could be wrong though.

I'm a DL noob....what does EE stand for?

Thanks all for your imput. So it sounds hopeful if we go during the off-season mid-week!
Off season mid week is great. (Actually, include either a Friday or Sunday in the mix to enjoy their fireworks version, which are amazing & unique to Walt's Park.)

I recommend HG's tip threads for the DLR newbie. Read the first 2 link threads in the attached......(then you'll want to the read the rest).
