We will be going to the parks two days after Christmas, I was wondering if the crowds will be very big? ...Or if we have a chance at booking an on site hotel?

Biggest Crowds at DL are between Christmas and New Year. This is the only time of the year when capacity is reached and they don't allow anymore people in. You will need to book now and be prepared to look around for accommodation...

Single most crowded week of the year is between Christmas and New Years. Lines can peak at 2 hours (or more) for some attractions with many reaching 1 hour. FPs are usually gone by late morning/early afternoon. There have also been park entrance closures because of the park hitting its capacity. We're talking wall-to-wall crowds from mid-morning on.

It's quite possible to run into this:

With that being said it will be pretty much impossible to book an onsite hotel for those dates now. You should have booked months ago. Even offsite hotels will be pretty packed. Good luck.

In two days you won't be able to see very much, just be prepared for the worst. Get there at least an hour early (at least) and maximize FP. Hit popular rides early (Space, Indy, Nemo, Peter Pan). Do not waste precious touring time eating breakfast in the park. Eat meals at strange times (early lunch or dinner works well) because food lines can get as long as some ride lines too.

With all of this, I'm not saying you won't have fun. I'm just trying to make it so you're not surprised when you get there or you find no hotel rooms available. You can have a blast at DL during the busy holidays. Just soak in the holiday atmosphere and have fun! :santa:

Will the week of the 15th be as bad? We have reservations.. Thanks so much.

That week is not nearly as bad. I went the W and Th last year. It does got more crowded as the week progresses. If you go that week, be sure to maximize your time in the beginning of the week because the hours are long and the crowds are small.

Christmas day is actually nuts. I did it once and will never do it again. The only neat thing was all the Christmas music. The park was filled with musicians everywhere. I think every stage had a band playing, that was neat.

Thanks so much guys. Is there anything like the caroling at Epcot there that week?
