crowded week of August 18?

We have only been to US and IOA one time- last May. The only real crowds we had to deal with were large groups of jr. high kids on school trips. We are planning to go August 17,18, and 19. Any idea of crowds? We will be staying on property. TIA!

It will be busy...as it is during the summer but since you're staying onsite the crowds shouldn't be a problem.

We were there last year during that time frame. Early mornings the crowds were light. By 11-12 lines were starting to form for the more popular rides and by 1-2 pm it was crowded (and really hot). Since you're staying on property you'll have FOTL (we didn't as we stayed offsite) so you should be fine. I found what worked best for us was to go early in the morning, leave around 1-2 pm for lunch/swim/rest and come back at night. The crowds at night weren't as low as in the morning, but it was definitely better than mid-afternoon (and a bit cooler too).

If you are staying onsite, this question isn't even worth asking. Trust me, it won't matter if it's crowded. We had FOTL in June and longest wait we had was to take a picture with Jaws. Not kidding.
