Crowd update for weekend of 17 & 18

Indiana Jones - 55 minutes
Jungle Cruise - 20 minutes
Splash Mountain - 85 minutes
Dumbo - 25
Small World - 20
Matterhorn - 35
Peter Pan - 45
Thunder Mountain Railroad - 25
Car Toon Spin - 35
Haunted Mansion - 50
Pirates - 25
Nemo - 45
Buzz Lightyear - 25
Space Mountain - 85
Star Tours 15

California Screamin - 15
Grizzly River Run - 25
Soarin - 45
Tower of Terror - 25
Toy Storia Mania - 40

So all in all seems like a pretty busy Saturday over at DL!

The only times there that stand out to me are Indy, Splash, Haunted Mansion, and Space Mtn.

- Haunted Mansion at 50 minutes given the HMH theme, is not really that long. It is a special something that is only at the Park for a very short time.

- Space Mountain is the same as Haunted Mansion, only amplified. It's the first time. It's only up until Halloween. It's normally a popular attraction even without the special Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.

- Splash Mountain having over an hour wait is long, but Saturday was hot out and Splash Mountain's line gets longer as it gets closer to sunset because (I believe) people realize they don't want to be wet after dark.

15 minutes for Star Tours is nothing. 45 for Nemo is actually good, if not even a little short.

For a Saturday, I really would not say those are long waits.

Welp, my weekend sounds doomed! :lmao:

From what it sounds like, I'm assuming these crowds are almost christmas like...I don't mean like the week of christmas but the weeks prior to christmas...where it's packed, but not enough to where you can still do everything you want to do, your just annoyed that there's so many people!...i've been there!

So the crowds yesterday was not crowded at all compared to Fri. There was no back up traffic going into Mickey & Friends & there was only 2 shows of Fantasmic. I was also suprised that a usual 40 min. wait for Autopia was only 10 min. long!
I'm guessing that the parks were crowded on Fri. bc of of the TOTP bc they didn't have it yesterday.

Thanks for posting this. We're leaving in 3 days (yay! :cool1:) and will be there through next weekend. I guess we'll make sure to do haunted mansion, space mountain, splash mountain and Indy on Wed and Thurs and try to avoid them without fast passes on Saturday. It's nice to have a heads up that it will be packed. We were hoping it wouldn't be too bad, but even if it is, it's still Disney!

So the TOTP...does it not happen on sat evenings?

Do they have the TOTP on the schedule?

I don't know about the TOTP but another reason the parks were probably more crowded on friday is because the socal APs aren't blocked on that day but they are on Saturday.

Yes definitely a factor!

lavender...were you there today? Wondering how it was today?

No, we're local so we just went for half a day yesterday. We purposely went on Saturday instead of Sunday though because one of the SoCal APs is allowed in on Sundays right now. We have Deluxe APs so during the "off" season we can go on Saturdays. The fewer APs that are allowed in, the better the crowds seem to be - from what I've heard.

Was there afternoon and evening of 9/15 all day 9/16 and all day 9/17

lots of folks on all days but Friday was the absolute worst.
About 6:30 the area in front of HM and along Rivers of America was almost at a complete standstill. There were just so many folks...
Luckily we know when and where to go during these times and when to do what rides. So with FPs and just getting into standby a few times, we never waited longer than 30 mins for any ride all three days...and this includes Toy Story Midway Mania...did it first thing at 10 am on both Friday and Saturday...waited about 5-10 mins after Rope Drop.:cool1:
Fantasmic Dessert and reserved seating was great! We had seats for the 9pm Friday evening. It was very impressive....as good or better than it used to be on the Gallery Balcony above Pirates.
Bummer the trains were not running:confused3
But otherwise we had a great time....
Knowing what rides to ride when, and efficient usage of FPs really paid off.;)

We really enjoyed the Fall/Halloween decorations, and we really enjoyed HMH with the overlay.
Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy was a bust in my book....just some projections on the walls/screens where there are normally planets and stars:confused3

We rode HMH at least 6 times, Indy 5-6 times and did everything else at least once or twice...Buzz Light Year 4 times......:thumbsup2

Okay, so I'm not the only one who thought it was nothing special. I can certainly appreciate the effort to do something different with it for halloween and I'm glad I was able to see it but I'm not going to make a special effort to go see it again. Thankfully I only had to wait 10-15 minutes with FP to see it.

Okay, got off topic there. Sorry!

And that's why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors -- each to his/her own taste ;)

I loved Ghost Galaxy :lovestruc

I wasnt super impressed with it either. Quite a few people exiting with me weren't as well. But it was a nice change and something different I guess.
