Crowd Question

My husband and I will be heading to WDW soon. We have been during the month of June more times than I can count. We have also gone over Christmas. This however will be our first trip in early to mid December. What are the crowds typically like this time of year?

We will be there from Dec 10-16.

We have gone to WDW in early to mid-December for several years. I would gauge the crowds to be moderate most of the time. Not uncrowded, but not crazy busy like they are during Christmas week. Magic Kingdom will be the most crowded park on days when there is no MVMCP, as most guests who don't have a party ticket prefer to visit when MK is open longer hours. If you aren't planning to take in MVMCP, try to visit MK on a party day - the hours are shorter, but the crowds are lower. The parks are beautiful at Christmas and there are so many special events to take in. You'll really enjoy it.

Should be good. That's final exam week for many colleges, so the crowd may pick up a little bit as the week goes on, but it'll be a lot quieter than Christmas week and the week before and after.

Touring Plans shows the overall crowds ranging from a 5-7, which is moderate. Nothing like Christmas week.

we're at the point where the crowd is starting to dip down and then it'll build back up. that week might be one of the better weeks of the season but you'll notice it getting more and more crowded each day.

Thanks everyone. So I am expecting it to be kind of like it is for us when we go in June. The later it gets the more crowded it will get. This is going to be my husband and my first no kids trip since our oldest was born 28 years ago. I am really getting excited. We leave next Thursday morning to start the drive from the Dallas area to Orlando!

This is my week too.

Last year we went during the same time frame, and it was great. I will say that DHS was more crowded towards evening, but I believe that was because of the Lights. The MK was wicked crowded on the non party night ( we went on Saturday night) but we had anticipated that as well.

The parks were very manageable other than those two times. Im hoping for the same experience this year.

My Dh and I are heading down next Wednesday 12/7, just the 2 of us. Only staying for 3 days so hoping the parks are too crazy!

that's our week too! dec 10-18 Touring plans , like some said above. has the beginning of the week as slow & building toward the end of the week. We went last year during October when we thought it was going to be "slow" and got surprised by the crowds... I'm just hoping I planned my days & fastpasses well enough this time. Merry Christmas!
