Crowd photos from inside the parks

Goodness gracious, what is the enjoyment in being one in a giant herd of cattle?? And to think people pay extra to be there that time of year?? LOLOLOL

Exactly! You could not PAY me to go there now - no way, no how!

Was too crazy for us second week of Dec. in some areas - no more Decembers for us. Have never gone on holidays and no wish to.

Tangential to this. Mde said that MK was closed to additional guests as of 1130am. We were at Epcot and it was significantly busier than it was in the 27th (which we expected) and several times the app said that no FPS were available for Epcot (t wouldn’t let me select the park) but I just kept refreshing and scored a 4th fp for test track at 315 and a 5th fp for soarin at 650. We still got a ton of stuff done.

I'v never been to disney at Christmas but have been at times square NYE. I'm local though. It was packed but a good time. Very energized. Glad I did it once but will not be doing it again.
Off topic, but I've always wondered....what is the restroom situation in Times Square?! The idea of that has always stressed me out! :rotfl:

Get your Depends on. There pretty much are none.

You cannot get into the hotels without a key card specially printed for people staying over NYE. And yes, they check.

Stores close because the city requires everyone to be out before 3pm or you get locked in - and most of them close their bathrooms because people are drunk and disgusting (they're also mysteriously "closed for maintenance" on St. Patrick's Day, Puerto Rican Day Parade, and July 4th).

And I'm 99% sure that even if McDonald's and Hard Rock are open, they're going to require a purchase of more than a coffee to use them.

Even before all the recent events there have not been port-a-potties brought in, so they're sure as heck not bringing them in now.

AND once the holding pens are at capacity, that's it...no one else getting in that one. So you get in and stay in. (And the closest ones to the action are going to be full well before noon.)

Like I said... Get your Depends on.

Yikes! Not my idea of a good time!

The others are correct, no bathrooms. I just held it in and didn't really drink anything. I'm glad I experienced it but am one and done. Same goes for the Thanksgiving day parade, unless I have an office to watch it from.

Wow reminds me of our first trip, it was Easter time during WDW 25th anniversary boy was it crowded....we are from a small town and we felt like fish out of water..even with that we didn't feel pressured like we do now, with FP we now seem like we are always in a hurry...time crunch..... I now feel like we are being hearded around the parks by Disney to meet the timelines...... So sad...

I think one big factor in why people may be generally nicer or not as rude during other times is the heat.. I myself am a more crabby person, prone to explode spending a day in a theme park with 90 degree weather and 90% humidty. Spending time in WDW in a sweatshirt for me seams like an awesome experience! You can actually sit outside to reserve a spot without melting. Might even be relaxing!.. From May-Oct not.

I always wondered the same thing, and when I found out was even more stressed and grossed out!! LOL

No way you'd catch me herded like cattle into pens or at Disney! :scared: Way not my idea of fun!
Saw it live streamed in front of our fireplace - was nice and comfortable and cozy!! Good enough for us!! :love2:

I've actually experienced more polite, happy and helpful people during Christmas/New Year's week in those crowds than any other time of year I've travelled. :goodvibes

Well, when you know you're screwed and the lines are gigantic everywhere there's no point in trying to push your way through the crowds.

I think the goal would be to do 1 thing. Like you REALLY want to see the fireworks over the castle for New Year's. So why not camp out at 4:00 PM for the 12:00AM fireworks? Its not like your missing out on much. Plus you get to experience a once-in-a-lifetime experience. When you're on your death bed you won't remember the 8 hour wait, but you will remember the fireworks!

Unless you have alzheimers...

With everyone having cameras on them at all times, I'm not seeing many crowd photos. Is that more of an instagram/twitter thing? Where are the crazy pics?
