Crowd levels beginning of November

My family and I are heading to DL from Oct 31-November 7th. I try to plan our DL Vacations during slower seasons. I know we will be landing on a busy Halloween day, any thoughts on the crowd level during this time of the year???

We went Nov 1-6 in 2010 and the place was dead. We stayed at GCH and they said pretty much everyone checked out November 1, as we were arriving! We even got our request for bunk beds!
We saw the taking down of the Halloween decorations and the putting up of some of the Christmas decorations.
Hope it is as quiet this year for you!

We'll be there Oct 29 checking out Nov 2nd, staying at DLH. We decided to attend the Halloween party monday the 29th instead of day of, because I'd expect day of to be a bit more crowded. Hoping the parks are really dead on Thrusday 11/1 so we can get a lot of rides in before we check out the next day.

We did basically exactly those dates in 2010. Halloween was crowded, of course, but because we knew we'd be there a week it wasn't a big deal. We did stand in line for Haunted Mansion but mostly we just walked around and took in the sites. The rest of the week was pretty quiet, with the best day smack in the middle, as you might expect.

Of course it will be slower than summer but people are forgetting that Carsland just opened this year. So many people want to go because of CL and yet are trying to predict the crowds based on previous years attendance.

So far there are no discounts for Oct/Nov whereas in past years there have been good discounts. You certainly cannot assume this year will be like past years when Carsland has changed the game.

We are going the beginning of Nov. So far there are no AP discounts and several of the nights are sold out already. We would love to see a discount before we go but are not counting on it.

Do you think CL will filter out most crowds, making other attractions less crowded? For example Toy Story Mania has been 45+min wait for a few years now. Do you think it has lowered since CL opening?

Reports on these boards is that it indeed is pretty decent to do other attractions since CL is drawing the crowds.
