Crowd levels at Thanksgiving weekend??

How crowded are the parks around Thanksgiving. I have been told average to crazy, so I thought I would ask here.

As a "local" that has AP...we avoid going to WDW at all costs during the thanksgiving week...especially the weekend. But my daughter has sensory issues, so if you know the crowds will be higher then average, we avoid.

We went last year. It was incredibly crowded. Not as bad as Christmas, but still very crowded. We knew that going in though so we still had a great time.

We have gone the past two Thanksgiving weeks and are going again in Thanksgiving 2014. I found the crowds perfectly manageable provided we got to the parks at rope drop and followed best days from various touring plans. We always like to do headliner rides in the am and then take a mid day break and go back to parks in the evenings for show and parades. I would not go during a peak week without a touring plan ahead of time and the ability to make rope drop.

This is our usual time to visit WDW and it is more on the crazy side than the average side. As already stated, you need a good touring plan. I recommend park hoppers so if one park is crazy you can switch to another and hope for the best that the next park isn't as crazy. We avoid MK on Thanksgiving Day, it is bumper to bumper people.

I agree with this. We went in 2011 and are headed back next week through Thanksgiving week. As long as you go into it with a plan and knowing it will be crowded (although manageable), you will be fine.
