We have been to WDW several times from Thanksgiving week in 2002 to recently the last week in August in 2015. We are planning on going for our regular every 4 years trip March 9-15, 2009. Have never gone in March before. What do you think the crowd levels will be the 2nd week in March versus when we have gone mostly in the past, the last week in August? I know Easter is later next year, so that may change something, especially with us Northeast folks' school breaks.

That week is Spring Break for many if not all Texas schools. It will be busy but nothing like Easter (I’ve never been in August so can’t compare). It’s our favorite week to go when we have kids with us.

I thought no the last week of August will have lower crowds. Most schools are back in session by then.

Crowds will be slightly lower in August, but the weather will be much nicer in March.

I would pick March

I always claim it's a bad idea to pick solely based on hypothesized crowd levels. But for crowds... I would have to guess last week of Aug. We went that week during 2017 and it was pretty empty. Same types of reports from this year.

The weather is going to be a huge difference between last week of March and last week of August... so keep that in mind, how tolerant of extreme heat (and raining at least once a day) are you?

We've been there during that week 3 of the past 4 years as our school break is the first 2 weeks of March. I find the crowds pick up during that second week. The weather can be all over the place, hot to very chilly. We've always been able to do everything we've wanted to do.
