We arrive on 8/5 and just curious if crowd levels are still fairly low for the summer season or have they picked back up?
Not that I mind either way but it does tend to make it easier when one is prepared!!
only 4 more days till we leave!!!! YIPPEEEEE!!!!:rotfl::banana::cool1::woohoo::yay::dance3:

I'm currently in LA and been thinking about driving down to Disneyland for the day. Either August 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Anyone have any advice on if one day would be better than the other? I keep getting conflicting info and I know this summer has been more unpredictable than others but would still welcome advice. Also, I was interested in getting just the single day non park hopper ticket but it seems you can't buy them in advance. The rumor mill says Disney is going to do a price increase this weekend. Is there a place in LA to buy Disneyland tickets or should I just suck it up and buy the one day parkhopper online and make a very long day out of it?

Any advice would be welcomed on making the most of my one day.

I would suck it up and do the PH if I were in your shoes. Have a great visit.

I'll be pissed if an increase goes into effect this weekend. We arrive on Tuesday and since their was no advantage to buying the tickets(2 day hopper) prior to visiting, I decided to get them right there on the night before we head to the parks.

Anyone have an answer.. I have heard conflicting reports and am curious as what to expect next week and what to plan for. LOL I'm getting antsy as we leave on Tues.

I would GUESS it's going to be summer crowded, but not crazy. I don't think it will be worse than it has been as of late. Schools are starting earlier and earlier--one district where I am is already in session!--so crowds may be lower than expected. (Of course, it is possible that people will be visiting right before school starts, as a last hurrah, but I know my family never, ever did that, and I haven't heard of any "pre-school-starting spike" in Disney attendance, as school opening dates are so staggered.) Personally, I'd worry more about heat than crowds.

Have a great time!

I think it's pretty certain that prices will go up on Sunday, although it's possible that 2 day hoppers are not going up in price--I haven't seen anything that says they WILL. But if you want, you can buy eTickets now and take advantage of the lower price. Even if you don't have access to a printer, you can buy the ticket online and then pick it up at Will Call. There will be a wait if you choose to do that--it probably took us 20 minutes around 7:30 PM with no lines? :headache: --but if you can pick up the tickets the day before you enter the park, you won't lose any "park" time at all. Or if you're entering the park for the first time in an afternoon or evening, you shouldn't encounter any lines.

If you have a printer I would definitely just do eTicket now, before the increase. You can arrive at the park and go right in, with just a TINY wait (15 seconds or less?) at the turnstile to get your ticket. It definitely beats waiting in ticket lines.

But single day passes only went up $2, so I'd guess the increase on a 2-day hopper would be small or nothing. IF you don't have a printer, then you can think about if you want to take the risk of buying at the gate and possibly having to pay a bit more. The bigger your party, the riskier it is to buy at the gate.
