I'm planning a trip for me and a bunch of first timers the first week in January. My usual spot for crowd calendars hasn't put theirs up yet so what does everyone else use?

Honestly, the best crowd calendar you have is an actual regular old calendar. Is it a major holiday? It's going to be busy. Is it Spring Break? It's going to be busy. Other than that, for the rest of the days, the "crowd calendars" are just educated guesses and I've found them 50/50 at best, so I just use my own eyes in the park. You can tell pretty early in the morning how crowded the park is going to be.

You may not get one from 'easywdw' this year based on the issues outlined in a thread under that name on the front page today. Kenny the Pirate has one.

For our October trip this year, I personally used the party nights as the basis for laying out our schedule, and applied some of the logic that was on 'easywdw' in the past.

That said, we always get park hoppers so that we have flexibility in our schedule. Hoppers are your best defense against a crowded park.

You can look at past crowd calendars (I would use easywdw anytime I looked at a crowd calendar) and get a feel from that. Like Josh from Easywdw posted on here a couple days ago, with Disney not updating their calendars, hours, and everything else much more than about a month out, all the crowd calendars are just a guess and really not helpful.

So I wouldn't recommend using any crowd calendars at all as they wont be accurate
