Crowd calendars?

Does anyone have opinions on the "accuracy" of crowd calendars, especially comparing Undercover Tourist to Touring Plans? I have access to both, and I'm thinking about tweaking our reservations for Oct 30 to Nov 2. (We have Park Hoppers.)

I'd love to hear opinions. We are going 1st week of January and I'm shocked at how crowded they say it will be

Honestly in my opinion, crowd calendars are of no help right now. With everything that has been happening the past year and a half, including international travel halted for some (although some is about to start back up again), people just wanting to be cautious with travel still, and the ones who are just ready to travel and get things back to "normal", I'm not sure there is any way to predict crowds as far in advance as they used to. That said, it doesn't stop me from looking at them for my upcoming February trip.

I believe most of them use the previous year or the last few years to gauge the estimated crowd. COVID messed that up obviously, so it might not be totally accurate, but early January is usually busy because kids haven’t started school yet, and the marathon happens. I went last year, and it was terribly busy.

Basic rule for me is late January-February or September-mid October are the times to go, but I don’t have kids, so it works out.

I think they are a tool and not to be overly relied on, especially during the unpredictableness of this pandemic. The 30th and 31st at MK will likely be heavy because its Halloween and its a weekend. There's a lot of factors to consider. Do you want Fall or Christmas version of Disney. Are you there for rides or other experiences.

Kids are still on Christmas break from school. My experience is yes, it is busy, unless there is a new covid spike or variation that quells reservations I expect that would remain accurate. You'll enjoy yourself, just need to set your expectations accordingly.

The first week in January will be pretty busy still. It usually drops off dramatically the next week which was our go to week for years.
