We're headed down next week (yay!). I set up our itinerary based on the touring plans website. Today I decided to check out easywdw, and they are the complete opposite for most of the days (for example, they say to avoid MK while touring plans recommends it). Now I'm so confused. It's too late to change our plans anyway, but I was just curious which site tends to be more accurate. Thanks!

I find it really depends on your touring style. For instance EasyWDW will tell you to avoid the park with EMH while Touringplans will do the opposite.

I personally like EMH so I tend to gravitate towards touring plans. Last year I used touring plans for a June vacation and it was pretty much spot on.

Please report back and let us know which one you found out to be more accurate! I've used both and often try to use them more as a guide and understand that they are just estimates. I think since it sounds like you have "planned" you should be fine regardless. Crowds even vary throughout the day quite a bit. Perfect example is Spaceship Earth at Epcot. I had read if the line was long come back later - and sure enough that is what we did and found a much shorter line.

I prefer easywdw. They occasionally post on their blog (complete with times and photos) a trial run of their current plans for each park. I appreciate the extra explanation of WHY a given park is recommended or not.

On the last two trips I did the recommendations on both sites were the same. What I like about easywdw is that Josh gives explanations about why he is making the recommendations. // One thing too to note that touring plans says a lot: Having a good plan is more important than what day you go. // As offsite visitors too, we will avoid parks that have morning extra magic hours, so we have an even advantage with everyone when we do rope drop.

Thanks everyone! That makes me feel better. We are definitely following my plan, since I've heard conflicting stories about how busy it is there right now.

I have used both but have found if you are looking for the truly lowest crowd park for the day use easywdw. We used his recommendations exclusively on this last trip 2 weeks ago and it really paid off. I used a mix of his and touring plans in November and a day touring plans said would be a 3 ended up a 7 after the fact. Looking "backwards" easywdw was far more accurate.

I used to always do EMH even if it meant hopping to a less crowded park later but I've found due to many issues it just doesn't work for us anymore. Either 1) we're too tired from the night before to get up in time or 2) disney transportation makes us late and we miss part of it or 3) a bunch of rides are broken down of the parts of the park that are open and that crams everyone on just a few attractions and the lines end up being long. It's much easier and less stressful to me now to just go with easywdw.

On our trip in January I was in the same dilemma. I first looked at Touring plans crowd calendar and based our days off of that, then I started looking at Easywdw's crowd calendar and theirs was completely different. I convinced myself that easywdw's crowd calendar was much better then Touring Plan's...Easywdw had a 2 park day for MK compared to a 6 on Touring Plan's so to me that was what the crowd levels were going to be regardless what the latter was suggesting. Let's just say that I should of stuck with Touring plan's calendar because that seemed to be more accurate then the Easywdw's calendar. So for our trip in October I am strictly going to go with Touring Plan and not even bother with the other.

Easywdw has always been accurate for us and we've traveled to WDW over the years every month except March, June and July.

I think the most important part of what easywdw does is give good reasoning on how to tour a park. Regardless of the crowd level. For example even though January my be low crowd levels, WDW also shuts down capacity of some rides. So the wait times may be similar for vastly different crowd levels.

As someone, said a good plan is more important than the specific day.
