I just went to check out the crowd calendar at ***************** and it wouldn't show the whole year's worth.

It said you had to register and pay for that information.... wasn't it free before? :confused3

I know! I just went there a couple of hours ago as well and was disappointed to see that! :sad1:

And hear I thought I was losing my mind. I thought the very same thing. I searched elsewhere for that information but had no luck. All I could find were trends and not projected numbers. Anyone else know of another free site to get that information?:confused3

I asked for that link a few days ago and when I got a reply the link was all**** out like yours. Thanks for that info

Me too. Anyone know if it's worth the $$ to join that site? I think it was $7.95 or something like that. Total bummer because I bought the 2006 unofficial guide and wasn't planning on buying it this year.

Just to clarify-it is free if you have the Unofficial Guide. The site asks questions about the book so you can get free access by answering the questions.

Perhaps your library has a copy of this years Unofficial Guide or you could go to a bookstore and take a peek.

Yes I have found that site to be worth it. You not only get the crowd calendar but you get customized tour plans for your exact date at the park.

I subscribed before my Sept Trip and it is good for one year. I'm using it along with Tour Guide Mike to plan my August trip.

The site was actually better than the book because they would update the crowd levels as they learned of WDW or Orlando special festivities that could impact attendance.

Well I have to say that it's been off for all my trips this year.

Maybe it's the YOAMD or all the specials that Disney has been running.

The parks just seem way more busy then even the same time as last year for our Oct trip that was the same dates.

Could someone specify exactly what they are referring to here? I own the Unofficial Guide (and I'm assuming it's touringplans you're talking about) butI can't find anything anywhere that gives me access to touring plans at no additional cost (just for owning the book)?

It is not for the touring plans-it is for the crowd calendar.

You say it has been "off", but if you go to the park they call "least crowded" for the day, and find that it is too crowded for you, how do you know the other parks are not worse??? When you could look at the whole year it was pretty easy to see there really is no "low crowd" time at WDW anymore. The lowest numbers you see are 4s and 5s and there are not many of them.
I am surprised about the change, but I do own the 07 book, just don't have it right now as I have lent it to a friend. Luckily my trip is so soon my days are still displayed on the site.

I personally would say no! Their advice for everything is 'go as soon as the park opens', 'go right before the park closes', 'everything has a big confusing layout.'

I think you will find value in the information on TGM. I signed up for it only for the crowd calendar and I am not disappinted that I spent $17.95.

Edited to add: I have the crowd calendar from UG and the one from TGM. They are not the same. I prefer TGM to UG/TP because Mike provides his logic behind the suggestions. Somebody told me on another thread it is money well spent and I agree, it is.
TGM is a very professional, detailed, well-thought-out site that is also very personal and professional. (No, I do not work for Mike). :)

Ahhhh.... I see. I found what you guys are talking about. Hey, does anyone have anything to say about Touringplans vs. TGM?

You will find lots of TGM fans here, do a search. I don't use either, we are so familiar with the parks and what we want to see and do we don't feel the need to follow a "plan" but YMMV!

I swear by the Unofficial Guide, and TouringPlans DOT com... (I have used it since 1999) We used it for our Thanksgiving trip. I didn't realize how accurate it was until Friday, Nov 24th, we went to the recommended park AK for most of the day... but Jeff and I also headed to MK later in the evening, a park that WAS NOT recommended. AK was busy, MK was PACKED. An important part of using it is that realizing the crowds are all relative! :)

So I have been trying to find how to log into the "Best Days" using my new 2007 copy, I think I might just being dense but can anyone lead a blind person to the right link?

Jennifer
