crow calendar help

I have looked at two different sites for crowd size.

Touringplan and easywdw.

On March 17th, easyWDW has Epcot being the best bet yet touringplans has it being a very busy day.

I suspect easyWDW is not accurate because March 17th is St Patricks day.

Anyone know, does St. Patrick's day effect epcot at all?

St. Patrick's Day is not a major holiday; I wouldn't expect it to have an impact at any of the parks, although I could see it being crowded at Raglan Road at DTD. Also, if a holiday is going to have an impact on crowds, Josh will say so. He's recommending Epcot that day because AK and DHS have EMH, and MK has the MSEP, both of which will draw crowds, while Epcot doesn't have anything special to draw crowds to it. His reasoning for why he recommends and doesn't recommend parks has always made sense to me, so I would go along with what he recommends.

Not aware that ST Pats has an impact on any park, crowd calender probably just reflects usual determination of crowds based on hours and activities at all WDW parks that day - keeping in mind that March 17th does fall into spring break season and higher then average park crowds

I don't think think St Patty's Day increases the Epcot crowd. I just don't see people shelling out $90 just to drink beer there.

I have always found easywdw.com to be quite accurate. I would trust what Josh says on that site. Also, check out his explanation for his crowd predictions for that day - he gives an explanation for each and every day.

What happened to Touring Mike? His website is still up but is no longer accepting new subscriptions. I read a comment over a year ago that he was ill but have not heard anything since. In prior years his predictions and advice were very accurate. Anyone have any inside info as to how Mike is or future of his website?

I agree about trusting easywdw. For our recent trip 1/4/14-1-9-14 I looked at both and thought easywdw reasoning made alot of sense. However keep in mind that any that you listen to could be wrong because of factors out of their control or knowledge. For example, when we went to Animal Kingdom, crowd level was supposed to be not low but moderate I think, but it was very cold day for Florida, so the park ended up practically empty. We walked onto every ride and didnt even need our Fastpasses. We spent two days at MK and easywdw was right on for those days and undercover had opposite.
