It was back to getting up at our usual time today and by 9:30 we were washed, dressed, eaten breakfast and were sitting in our usual spot.

At 10:30 we went into Studio Sea for another Art of Entertaining presentation, this time it was chocolate lava cake.

After the presentation it was back to the chairs on deck 4 overlooking the lobby atrium where we sat for a while until I decided to go for a wander and do my 3 laps of the Promenade Deck.

Continued in next post

I wandered for a couple of hours and then at 1:45 we went up to deck 9 to get some lunch, which today was a Philly cheese steak sandwich each. After lunch I went down to the Buena Vista theatre to watch Oz the Great and Powerful, which was really good, and then went to buy some chocolates for Gemma's parents and a case for my phone.

It was then back upstairs to relax for half hour or so until it was time to go down for the show, which tonight was Dancing With the Officers, which was sort of like a crew member/guest talent show.

After the show we got ready for dinner, which was back in Parrot Cay tonight. I had Jamaica chicken tenderloins, parrot cay salad and jerk seasoned pork chop, while Dad had crab di Martinique, cream of asparagus soup and rib eye. For dessert I had lemon meringue pie and Dad had banana bread French toast.

After dinner it was the usual drinks in the usual place and in bed by 10:30 ready for our first sight of land in a week: Funchal, Madeira.

Day 12 - Funchal, Madeira

The ship looks deserted in your photos! Was it warm enough to sunbathe and swim?

Hi Jen,

There were quite a few people on the ship but I think we all just spread out, lol. It was definitely warm enough to sun bathe and swim and generally there were always people around the pool.
