My husband and I are headed to Disney this weekend with the family. We are excited to get away but would like to get a WOD or 2 in while we're there. Any suggestions?

I have to remind myself some people are sooooo much more serious about exercise (and this is from someone who walks 45 minutes a day on top of extra at home like a bike ride or yoga)...and I'm "training" for our WDW trip myself, so don't take what I have to say wrong. :)

It just always strikes me as funny when I hear people want to work out at WDW. My understanding is when you go to the parks you're walking anywhere from 6-18 miles a day! So you want to do...gulp...more? But maybe those posters are training for something else that I don't know about. I don't mean any disrespect - more power to you! It just makes me laugh.

Well, good luck. Maybe there'll be a gym at your hotel.

Where are you staying? Some of the resorts have really nice fitness rooms to use. There are nice walking oaths at some to that you can get a jog in at any time.

I am definitely one of those exercise freaks. It is a joke among my family and friends. I lost 40 pounds 8 years ago and got back to my high school weight and have never gained it back. During the first 6 years after my weight loss I missed only 2 days of exercise. I always exercise on any vacation although I have become more lax in the last two years and will sometimes skip a day or two on a week long trip. Others may chime in with different ideas but I have really never done anything special, just used the resort's workout room. I have found them to be more crowded in the early morning than afternoon, but I am sure that varies. I keep the workout shorter than when at home (after all it is vacation....LOL!).

Enjoy your trip!

We're staying at the ASMo. I guess we'll probably just do a bit of running on the trail there. Leaving in the morning! So excited!

Go to CrossFit Mousetrap. I's very near Downtown Disney and the people that run it are great. They get lots of drop-ins.

Nothing against anyone who commented on different workouts the OP can do, nothing, and I mean nothing compares to a CrossFit workout.

My daughter belongs there and I head there for my workouts when I'm in town.

I didn't know they had anything like that in Disney. CrossFit is definitely intense and I doubt I could handle it....:rotfl2: However my DD's coach highly encourages the team to do this she certainly gets a great workout.

my boyfriend and I plan on dropping in at CrossFit MouseTrap while we're down there for one WOD and then I have an app on my phone - WOD genius - that will generate workouts for you based on the equipment you tell it you have available :thumbsup2

Fellow Crossfitter here :cheer2:. We are heading down next week for 5 days and I was thinking of stopping in at Mousetrap. I looked at all I have to do in those short 5 days though and don't think I'll have time to get there, WOD and travel back. Maybe I'll do a TABATA of burpees and pushups in the room :thumbsup2.

I was going to pack mine & it broke so I left it in the garage but that was my plan.
