I have just got an absolutely amazing price on our flights to Florida in October. However it's that good, that I'm hoping it wasn't a typo on the website, so crossed fingers until the e-mail confirmation comes through!

I know someone had a similar thing happen recently on these boards (might have been with a booking on a villa possibly?). Can anyone remember if they got their holiday confirmed in the end or did the company realise their mistake?

Just so you know, we've got direct Virgin flights (but under the Continental code share) for just £359 each inc. tax, yet on the same website, the actual Virgin flights themselves are priced at over £550 each!

Here's hoping...

Blimey that is good!

I remember a person had the wrong quote on something and I'm not sure if they ever confirmed if it was honoured?

I think the concensus was once you've paid a deposit and have an invoice you're pretty safe.Have you paid a deposit yet?

Wow that does sound good and believable - I've seen Continental do this before. Fingers crossed for you that it isn't a typo.

Got the confirmation through by e-mail this afternoon, and I know they can't change their minds now, because I paid for the full balance on my credit card (now just got to wait for the bill :( ). Just goes to show it's worth checking regularly for flight prices on the web, because you never know when a bargain might come up!

On another note, sorry to disappoint anyone else going in October, but I've just checked E-bookers again today and that offer has disappeared off the face of the earth (Continental back up to £400 each for NON-direct flights, although United are down to £300) which makes me think it was an error. DW said it was the fastest she'd ever seen me move for my wallet!!!

That is great news.It was one of those occasions when it just didn't pay to dither, you would have gone back to book it and been gutted when it was gone:eek:

And for biting the bullet you made the right decision! Woo Hoo:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I doubt it was an error - you were just in the right place at the right time. Allocations of deeply discounted seats obviously go first and once they're gone, that's it. When we booked to go in December, 2001, our friends got a similar price to you for Virgin direct. When we booked the following day, we had to pay £100 each more to sit next to them.
