Stephanie-here's what we're doing for our December Crop- this one is worth the road trip with all your local scrapping friends
10th Annual December Crop 2010
Merry Christmas!
December 11th- is our BIGGEST CROP OF THE YEAR! We have a lot of fun planned this month so you may have to read and re-read this newsletter.

Its our 10th (yes, 10th) Annual December Holiday Crop. We will have our very loved Charlie Brown Christmas tree with our handmade tree skirt, wreath, ornaments, our traditional dinner, prizes, and most of all holiday crop time with our Sunshine sisters.
Our Charlie Brown Christmas tree has ornaments representing our Sunshine Scrappers family. Some ornaments are store bought and some are handmade. Feel free to make an ornament for our Christmas tree and bring it in December. Its a Sunshine Scrappers annual tradition.
THE FUN!!!
Please dress festive, (wear your favorite Sunshine Scrapper logo shirt), santa hat, socks, etc. Show your Christmas/Holiday spirit the Sunshine Scrappers way-there will be a prize for MOST spirited!!! If you had a logo embroidered on your shirt please add your name to the SS logo list under DATABASE. Your name will be added to a drawing to receive your $6 back-we will be handing your $6 back to 8 lucky logo buyers.

Well also take a group photo before dinner. So look cute
LOL The photo will be displayed on the home page of the Sunshine Scrappers website for an entire year. Its a tradition!
STOCKING A GIFT for a Sunshine Sister:
THIS OF COURSE IS OPTIONAL!!
1) Bring a stocking (your own or buy one-you are keeping YOUR stocking)-a general average size Christmas or Holiday stocking. This
can be a plain stocking or you can be creative and decorate it with your own
style. (We will have a prize for most unique/creative stocking). DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME ON YOUR STOCKING-PLEASE
2) Buy a scrapbooking related gift (it can be a gift card) under $15. It must be wrapped. PLEASE NO NAME ON YOUR GIFT. If possible keep the gift the size of an average sized stocking (in other words so it will fit into the stocking)
3) When you arrive at the December Crop place ONLY your stocking in the
"stocking area" (not sure where that will be yet-LOL). Probably by the tree
somewhere.
4) Throughout the day (probably once you arrive) place your wrapped gift
into any one of the stockings without a gift inside (NOTE without a gift already in it).
5) After the group photo and dinner-we'll go pod by pod to get YOUR stocking with a gift from a Sunshine sister placed in it.
A prize will go to the most creative stocking. Unique and creativity count.
MORE FUN!!!
*We will have DOOR PRIZES throughout the day. To earn a door prize we are playing SCRAPPY. Ill set random times with a timer and when the trimer goes off and you have completed a page or project you win a SCRAPPY (a stuffed bear). You must show your project or layout (1 or 2 pages) to the group. We might get inspired by your creativity. Once you win a Scrappy you will hold Scrappy (our stuffed bear) until the next person wins-then you throw Scrappy to the next winner. (basically passing the bear) Once you receive Scrappy-you and Scrappy can go to the door prize table to pick a door prize. YOU MAY ONLY WIN ONE DOOR PRIZE or Scrappy. We are trying to make it as fair as possible for all Sunshine Scrappers to get a chance at winning.
The doors open at noon no earlier. We want the room to be festive when you all arrive-its Christmas after all.
THE TOAST! Back by popular demand-we will be having a toast. Yes, you asked what happened to the toast last year so we are bringing it back. You asked and we listened.
**December Crop Fee- as with every December crop your crop fee ($6) will be donated to the church as a thank you for allowing us to crop each month. If you would like to donate more then please do. St. Albans would make sure it was used in a positive way.

*The big crop room cost $185 to rent-they are only charging us $75.00-thank you St. Albans!!
Janets Annual Cookie Exchange:
We have an annual Christmas cookie exchange every year. It isn't
mandatory for you to participate but it's always fun for those who do.
Here are the guidelines:
1. Sign up under "Database". Include your name and what kind of cookie
you are making. The cut off date to sign up is December 6th.
2. Make one dozen cookies per person signed up. So if there are 15
people signed up, make 15 dozen cookies. Include yourself in the
count. It makes it sooooo much easier to redistribute the cookies.
3. Place each dozen cookies in either a zip lock bag or a cello bag
you can get at Mikes or Joanns (they are in the cake decorating
section).
4. Attach the recipe to each bag and don't forget to include your name.
5. Bring them to the crop in a large container so you will have
something to carry all your goodies home in.
6. Please, only home baked cookies.
We will have a table reserved for the cookie exchange. Happy baking!
Janet
We need YOUR HELP!
Before you leave the crop can you please help us out by cleaning your area/table? Empty your trash bowl and pick up any paper, scraps, food etc. Please fold your chair and table (if you are the last scrapper at your table) and place in appropriate spot. THIS IS A BIG CROP AND COULD USE A LOT OF EXTRA HELP-ESPECIALLY WITH TRASH!
FOOD & DINNER: PLEASE SIGN UP ASAP under DATABASE-for the December Crop food item you are bringing by 12/8. Janet (dinner coordinator) has a list of traditional food items we need for our dinner. Dinner is at 5:30p-ish. Weve asked Father Ralph to join us and bless the food before dinner-Thank you Father Ralph!
WHATS ON THE MENU? We have found that having a
designated menu helps us have a balanced dinner. So when you sign
up, choose something from this list FIRST. Once the list is filled,
you can bring something of your choosing. **Please try to bring your dish in something disposable; it helps so much with clean up.
