Crocs...

I have my pink Mickey crocs on right now! :yay: I absolutely love them, they make my feet feel so good! I call them my "better than bare feet" shoes, because they are roomy and comfy like bare feet, but have support and bounce. I started with the Payless ones (which now live in work, because I didn't want my Mickey ones to get stolen!) but at home I only live in crocs, sneakers or slippers. Yes, I do have shoes, but they are dusty as I just never wear them anymore! :goodvibes

I wear my Mamoth ones all the time in the winter with pants and I have a pair of flip flops but I can't bring myself to wear my pink Mickey ones. They just look sooooo bad with shorts! Like clown shoes.

Nancy, NO, you're not the only one! I find them hideously UNcomfortable...which is good, because I think they are hideously ugly too. ;)

To each their own, but I will never understand the fascination with those awful clown shoes.

Yes they ARE ugly but...when you have a job where you are on a concrete floor 8-10 hours a day they are wonderful. I resisted getting them for years because of the way they looked. I now own over 12 different colors!!! I wear them everywhere and my feet thank me daily. My feet used to hurt so much after standing on them for so long I would literally have to hold on to furniture to walk and take a bit of the pressure off my feet. Since wearing Crocs my feet have never felt better!

In fact I just replaced my original red mickey ones today at BigLots ($10)

Another Crocs lover here. Yes, I completely and freely admit that they are ugly, but the comfort outweighs the 'ug' factor. I wear the ugliest of the ugly ones...the clog version ;)

I put them on in the morning of a park day, and by the end, my feet/legs/hips feel just fine. I could not say that about my Nikes (or any decent walking shoes that I've owned).

I have 8 pairs of Crocs, so obviously I love them.

Cleo - teal/seafoam
Saffron - black
Minnie Jane - fuchsia/cotton candy
Cayman - peacock
Gretel - navy
Mary Jane - grape
Mammoth - cotton candy
Celeste - black/peacock

Odd thing. When I was much heavier I lived in Crocs. (And yes, I too found a significant difference between Crocs and knock offs). Several different styles, many different colors.

Then I lost weight. Loads of weight. I can't wear them now. How weird is that? They actually hurt my feet.

Oh, and I found for those that I wore the soles smooth, they get VERY slippery on a wet surface, so watch for that.

Right - that's why I have TWO pairs each of my two favorite colors :teeth:

I don't own either real or fake Crocs but having tried on both, there is a significant difference between the two so you are paying for the quality, not the name.

I agree, the amount of codes, outlet prices and sales makes the very affordable. I paid Disney price last year for sandles during the week of rain we were there.
In Sept. at Ollies or Big lots, I found mary janes for $8. I ordered another type of sandles with free shipping on clearance for $9 off the website.

Combining coupons is a bid discount.
I know the generics I had went sliding in, and they started to stink. I guess they are ok for the garden but not heavy daily wear.

My dd 14 has a fit that I have them, I told her just wait until her feet are killing her and she wants to use a pair of the sandles.

+1

I find them to be terribly uncomfortable too. Adding with the look and you won't get me to wear them ever.

Glad to know I am not alone in how I feel.

So being I work at OIA...on my lunch break I was browsing the terminal, and they had a little stand selling crocs...I was asking the lady how often the stock changed...I want a pair for work..I need closed heel/toe though..LOL

I have a pair that were given to me as a gift. They are the old style like when they first came out. They flop around on my feet when I walk. Are they supposed to do that?

Cuz they are so ugly I held out on buying them too. I stand on concrete for 6 hrs a day. Finally got my crocs and my feet thank me! What a difference! Luv my crocs!
:woohoo:

They have some really cute Crocs on the website that are suitable for work--well, and in my closet :)

I love my Crocs too! I didn't think they'd really live up to all the hype, as I've tried a bunch of other shoes designed for comfort that hurt my feet terribly. However, the Crocs are great for my feet! I've got several pairs now, including some Mammoths for winter.

And while I totally agree that Crocs aren't the prettiest shoes, I think there are a bunch of other shoes that aren't exactly pretty yet remain popular (Uggs, Birkenstocks, etc.).
