...is this a good idea? I love my crocs -- they are the lightest and most comfortable pair of footwear I own, if a little bit silly looking :upsidedow-- but can you really wear them all day at the world? I would absolutely love to, I'm just not sure...I was planning on wearing a good, broken-in pair of runners, but still I know my feet would hurt by the end of the day. Also, as a WDW first-timer, would there be any problems wearing crocs on some of the rides where your feet are dangling? :confused3

I wore my crocs the whole time we were in Disney last year. I had no problems. If your feet are dangling on rides then you leave your shoes. You always come back to the same spot.

I also wear Crocs all the time including to Disney and other theme parks. They are the best shoes ever!! I love that I can get them wet and they dry out quickly.

There are other not so ugly versions of Crocs you could wear. I have several pairs of scutes that I wear as well as the beach types.

I wore mine the first days with no problems. I wore them another day when it rained most of the day and got a blister on the ball of my right foot. Boy, did that hurt for the next two days. I have to wear socks with them and I wondered if it was because my socks got wet and bunched under my foot. The only Crocs I can wear are the Rx Cloud. They don't have the little nubbies on them and they're soft inside, about like flip-flops. I really hope to wear them again, because they were really comfortable.

Use the straps if you're worried about dangling..helps with slipage when wet as well. I rotate my Crocs, Teva and Keen sandals. Bring a back up...and I suggest Keen newport H2s or Teva Dozers :)

I also love my crocs. I have flip flops and mary janes. But after a few hours in them at WDW, my feet were killing me. Its those stupid nubs. By the end of the night I had imprints in the bottom of my feet from them. It really hurt. The next day I wore my tennis shoes and I was fine. My DH had the same problem with his croc sandals. The mary janes weren't quite so bad if I wore footies with them, and only for a partial day. Try them out at a local zoo first or something, or just make sure you bring another option!

I heart my Crocs! Our first day in WDW last October, I wore my well-broken-in Nikes and by the end of the day, my feet were killing me, my lower back was spasming, and I had a blister on the outside of my pinky toe. Next day, I wore my Mary Jane Crocs, and had no problems whatsoever! I switched between my MJs and my Croc flip flops and was the only one in my family not complaining about their feet hurting.

We did a split stay between Pop and AKL, and the day we moved, I packed my Crocs and wore the Nikes again. Bad idea! I felt worse than I did the first day and ended up taking a muscle relaxer (that I DESPISE taking) to help my back.

That said, yesterday my DS and I went to our local Six Flags for the day and I wore my new Sketchers In-Steps. We were at the park from 10am to 4pm and my feet weren't hurting a bit by the time we left. My legs and butt, on the other hand... :upsidedow

So I think for our next trip, I'll be bringing the Crocs and the In-Steps...

I just bought croc flip flops the other day to wear on my trip to wdw in august. Now i'm torn what to wear. i guess i'll still take my sneaks and i can always change my shoes in the middle of the day but i was really counting on just to wear my crocs so my feet dont sweat. I'm just worried about the heat and hummidity taking down me and the whole family before the day ends.

sorry but cast my vote against crocs in the park. Call me vain and shallow but they are ugly an silly loking and please oh please dont put pins on them.:sad2:

I agree that crocs are ugly thats why i have the flip flops they are not so ugly and yet they are super comfy. I just dont know if they are all day???

Guess y'all haven't seen the Croc flips, they look JUST like regular flips only VERY VERY comfortable!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the advice! I think I will be packing crocs for sure, but may not wear them ALL the time. I'm kind of excited actually, because I saw on the crocs website that in their kids line they have Sleeping Beauty crocs...and my feet are small enough to fit kids shoes lol! :lovestruc I might pick up a pair of mary janes too though, because I think they are slightly more attractive, and have more functional straps than the standard pair that I have already. ...and as for the comments about them looking silly, I do know that they look goofy...but then again, don't a lot of other things/people look goofy at DW too!?!

HI Everyone - Crocs are what I need to wear into the parks so I dont get all blistery - I have had some horrible feet experiences with other shoes, but I was sooooo surprised to NOT have them with Crocs!!!! I barefoot alot at home and at the beach, so maybe my feet are a bit tough on the bottom so the nubs have never bothered me. I think the scutes are my favorite - they feel like they have a double sole in them and are really soft for me!!! Oh, and dont forget to get some fun Disney jibbitz to put in them !!! They are tons of fun!! Who the heck cares what they look like? Lets face it - other people look silly in what they are wearing!!! Go for comfort - it isnt a fashion contest!!!:rotfl:

I definitely vote for Crocs! For those who call them "ugly", who cares! You've spent thousands of dollars on a vacation and you want to ENJOY it, not worry about your feet or be side-lined from the fun because of blisters and pain!
I think they are perfect for Disney in the summer, because they let your feet get air so you don't get rubbing from the heat and humidity and nothing is better for those pop-up summer rain showers or water rides--your feet are dry again in no time.
When we went for the first time 3 years ago, we all started out in Nike Shox (which I LOVE and are great on my feet), but by the end of the first day they were soaked through from a brief, but soaking rain shower, so they were left in the room and Crocs were worn by all of us the rest of the week. When we got them home, they were STILL damp because of the Florida humidity! Can you imagine the blisters if we had been trying to keep wearing those!
Go with the Crocs and don't worry about the naysayers who call them "ugly". Besides, there are lots of cute styles now! :)

I have never owned crocs and would like to order a pair. I am looking at the primas, but do not know what size I should get. I normally where a 7 1/2, what size should I get?

Thanks for your help!

I wore my crocs every day in the parks in November and the only trouble I had was one spot on the top of my foot where one pair had rubbed. It wasn't bad or painful until the end of the day so I stuck a piece of moleskin over it and had no more problems the entire trip. I did alternate between 2 pairs though just like I would have had I worn tennie shoes. My kids alternated between their crocs and their tennie shoes and they didn't have any problems either.

Wear what is most comfortable for you. DH and DS wear Crocs ALL THE TIME!
So they wear them to WDW. I think that the rubber on the Crocs make my feet to hot. I am usually barefoot at home and wear sandals out. So I rotate the sandals that I wear to WDW. Please wear shoes that are broken in and tried and tested to be comfortable for you (even Crocs.) Once your feet are miserable you will be too. I fully agree that sneakers and socks will not let your feet breathe enough and once they get wet (and they will in the summer) you will be done for the day. If you ride Kali at AK your feet will definately get wet so put shoes in the center storage on the ride vehicle.

I have crocs flip flops and wear nothing else while at themeparks! I love them and my feet never hurt!

I wear Crocs all the time anyway and I definitely wear them in the parks all the time. After so many bad shoe problems and blisters Crocs are a wonderful solution. Never tired anything but Beach and Caymans and I love them

If you do not like my shoes, that is ok I am not a people pleaser :hippie:

I just bought my first pair recently. I wear a 7 1/2 and bought the Malindi style in an 8 and they fit fine.
