I know this has been asked before, but I can't get my search to work very well.
I would like to buy a pair of crocs...I'm looking at slimmer styles...like the Alice. I normally wear a 7 1/2...with the 7 my toes touch the end...with the 8 they seem really big and floppy and I walk out of them when I walk. So my question is which ones do I buy? Is it easier to stretch ones that are too small or shrink ones that are two big? Any suggestions for stretching or shrinking?

I have the opposite dilemma where I normally wear 8.5 shoes, and the size 9 Crocs fit me perfectly. I can't make any personal reccomendations, but I want to bump this to the top in hopes that another DISer can help out!

I would go for the smaller pair and stretch them out. Crocs are made out of a material that will stay in place after stretched. I have done that with mine, although other styles, but it has worked well.

I've had this problem with all the crocs that I have bought which is why I'm scared to order them online, I have found that I have to try on several pairs of the same size to find one pair that fits right.

I've not had much luck w/ Croc sizing. I ordered some MJs and loved them, but they were just too big in a size 7 (I wear a 6.5) So I tried the 6, and they were clearly too small! :sad2: I ended up just getting a pair of Athens in size 4 and they work "ok" but since they're flip flops, they don't have to fit as well. (though I really thought those MJs were adorable, I'm tempted to keep 'em and just wear them for short trips- just not all day at WDW! ;) ) Maybe one day Crocs will do half sizes!!!!!!!!! Good luck- I'm afraid I didn't give you any good advice, but you're not alone!

I wear a 8 1/2 or 9, and get the Crocs Beach size medium. But, I do not wear the strap in the back, I wear them as clogs. I do not like the Caymans that I have, the fit a little different.

The Caymans are narrower than the Beach. The only way we order online is to first go to a store and try on a bunch of different styles to see how they fit. IF we can't find anything DD likes, we will then order online, once we know how they fit. She has discovered she takes one size with open-back crocs and a different size with closed-back (or maybe it's open toe? dont' know but you get my drift.

I have found that they do stretch as you wear them, but mostly in width, not length.

I go smaller. I wear a size 7 shoe and I buy a size 6 in crocs. The 7 just feels too big for me, but everybody's different! The smaller size fits just perfect- no extra room, and I always think I made a mistake buying smaller when I first wear them, but they do stretch and "mold" to your feet after awhile!

I have a similar issue. When I finally gave in and got Crocs, I got Adara ones... which, in the end, I do love. Wish I could find a cold-weather shoe I didn't think was "ugly," LOL, am dreading having to go back to "regular" shoes now after this summer.

Anyways... I usually wear a 7.5-8, and ran all over creation looking for the style/color I wanted in 8s. I finally found it, and decided they were too big. So then I found a 7, and although my toes touch the end, they've ended up fitting me perfectly. I've only had problems maybe twice, with managing to scrape the end of the shoe along the ground and fold it back under itself... yeah... it takes talent to do that lol. But I would think that if they were bigger, that would actually make that problem worse, not better, KWIM?

Since the shoes are designed to stretch & mold, I would think you'd be better off going smaller, since it's easier to stretch them a bit then try to shrink them nearly a whole size. (Although I did hear from my local Crocs guy that leaving them on the seat of a hot car in the sun will shrink them up nicely. :) )
