Looking at the Crocs website - what is the difference between the Beach and Caymen? Do they actually stay on your foot - could they slip off during Soarin or other attractions? Dh is also considering a pair (can't believe it!) Are they something many men would wear at the parks - I can't see him wearing them much around home, but he'd like to try them for our trip...

I had troubles with that as well... the only difference I can see (other than some minor differences in appearance) is that the "Caymen" has more size options... I went to a local store to find some Crocs for my upcoming trip - and they did not have the color I was looking for. When I tried on the "Beach", the only ones this store sold, I noticed that the sizes were like: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, etc... Well the problem I found was that I was between a 6-7 and an 8-9. So I was happy to discover that the "Caymen" was sold in an 8. I took a chance and ordered them, and they fit perfectly... I don't know why they did that but I can't really tell any other difference.

At first I didn't see that they were very comfortable... but after breaking them in I think they are conforming to my feet. They do have great support, they're light and great shock resistance... The only problem I could see anyone having with them is if they didn't fit quite right.

As for falling off, mine fit pretty well, I can't see how they would just fall off like a flip-flop would... hope this helps...

P.S. Check out the flip-flops too, I bought a pair and they are BY FAR the most comfortable flip-flops I've owned... and I've owned a LOT of flip-flops.

Joe is right - the Caymans are single sized and the Beaches are double sized. Also, the Caymans are a little narrower.

They stay on really well, even though when properly fit they are loose around your feet. That's just part of the magic of Crocs pixiedust:

I can't think of another ride besides Soarin where it would be an issue, but here's a tip: when riding Soarin, even though I don't really think my Crocs would fall off, I slip them off my feet and leave them on the ground before the ride begins. That way, I don't have to worry about it, and I get the bonus of letting my feet sail free through the air while I "soar" :rotfl2: If you leave them exactly under your feet when you take off, it's fun to see how your feet come back to rest exactly on top of them when you return. Don't make the mistake I saw a lady make once - she kicked her flip flops way in front of her when she was getting ready to take off, which meant that they were way in front of her when she landed, and she had to get up and walk to them in her bare feet.

Thanks guys - going to pick some up this weekend - still a little bewildered by them, but gonna give them a try...

When I first rode Soarin, I put the strap on my crocs behind my ankle (I normally wear them like clogs), and they stayed on fine. But I finally wised up and just slipped them off before "liftoff".

So these Crocs thingys - are rubber or plastic right?
Your feet don’t braise in them?
Are guys wearing them too?

My dh actually loves his. He now takes them to WDW, as well as at home and about town!! I have 3-4 pair and dd has 3 pr. We love them. They aren't really plastic or rubber...they are a resin. Since there are ventilation holes all around, your feet don't really get all that hot in them. The great thing is that you can wear them right through the rain showers at WDW!!
As for Soarin', I love going barefoot!! Just slip off your crocs when you board, then slip them back on when you are lowered back down. Very cool feeling.

Excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by braise?

Yes they are made of a rubbery plastic - not sure of the exact material - but it is a soft material that is rugged at the same time. I think one of the things that makes them so comfortable is that they are so versatile. By that I mean - it doesn't matter if they get wet, because they are solid one piece construction (except the strap in the back), they have the holes in the top and front - so they allow plenty of air flow through, and they don't "hug" your feet like water shoes would...

And yes Men can wear them too - mine are dark brown so hopefully they won't stick out like a sore thumb... no offense to anyone - I'm just not all that thrilled by their looks... I bought mine strictly for my trip, $30 is a small price to pay for not having sore feet towards the end of every day IMO... After the trip I will likely only wear them for yardwork (perfect for that too)...
