Crocs question

I love croc's. I wear them all the time. My mom has flat feet, too and she swears by them . I have three pairs and would happily buy more. My husband, who never could understand why I would buy such ugly shoes, is actually considering a pair because I rave about them so much.

I always thought the same thing. WHY do people buy those, they are Sooo Ugly. :rotfl:

I always thought they looked cute on kids and I ordered some for three of my little ones. They have the Mickey ones and they all love them, no blisters to daye and no complaints.

I purchased a pair for myself when google had the checkout deal and I have hardly worn anything since. I love them! :cutie:

They really are comfy and they don't make my feet sweat at all, although you'd really think they would. Something about the microbial something or other. ;)

Anyhow, you could purchase a pair and wear them for a few weeks to make sure they'll work for you in the parks.

I think I'm going to order some more the next time I can catch some good sales so we can wear them in before trip in November. :wizard:

I didn't have any problems at all with the straps rubbing and causing blisters, even with wearing them for 10 hours a day around the World. It must have to do with the Crocs material. They're terrific. :flower1:

I know how the beach and Cayman crocs are suppose to fit...but how are the Cleo's 'suppose' to fit.

We went for a week last year in August and I wore my Airwalks from Payless almost everyday. They were very comfortable and my feet weren't as sore as I would normally have expected with all that walking. The only thing I did differently was that I chose to wear them with socks because it was so humid and my feet sweat in them. I found some really low socks that matched the shoe colour so they didn't stand out too much.

On our May 2006 trip I took my tennis shoes (in which I run, play volleyball, wear on call to work) and I had blisters by the end of the first day. I switched to my Nike ACG sandals and I was fine for the rest of the trip. Then I bought the Payless Airwalks and wear those on call at work (have to have a closed toe) with no problems other than having to wear socks or my feet sweat too much when it is warm - however I have never worn them for a lot of walking (a lot of standing, yes, but not walking). I then got a pair of Crocs Scutes (I have always loved the athletic shower shoe/flip flop style of sandals) and I absolutely love them. I wore them throughout our Feb 2007 WDW trip (with socks when it was cool). I got another pair and so I wear one or the other whenever I am not at work. I wear them for lots of walking events - zoo, going to sporting events, etc. I find the footbed to be quite cushion-y. I never have blisters or any foot or leg pain (and I am an ex-volleyball player with horrible knees and a bad ankle). I just LOVE them! I have never tried the other styles because the Scutes are for me!

Another question to add--

I just bought some Disney Crocs in May and wore them just a few times around the house trying to break them in. I took them with me for the conference (June 16-21) held in WDW, only wore them one day b/c they were killing the TOPS of my feet. I still have the blister marks where they rubbed my skin raw. I would like to be able to take them on our vacation this time in 2 weeks, but what can I do about the tops of my feet? The shoes didn't really cause my feet to sweat any more than usual in FL, and they were very comfortable until the blisters started forming. Any suggestions?:confused3

Thanks,

April

I bought my first pair last week. i have only worn them once so far and I have to say in 90+ heat and humidity my feat were not sweating and they were actually very comfortable.
I leave on Thursday for Disney so that will be the big test but I was happy with the first time wearing them so I do not expect any problems.
I have size 13 mens and they fit fine, the strap moves a bit but oh well.

I have the Cleo style Crocs. It's a strappy sandal. I wore them on our recent Disney trip and they were fabulous. No tired sore feet. My kids have the traditional clog style, which they love, but I couldn't bring myself to wear them. People compliment me on the shoes all the time and are always surprised when I tell them they're Crocs.

I have those too..the pearl and lime ones. They are cute and really comfy. I have worn them shopping and stuff but I have not worn them to Disney World yet (got them too late for the last trip!) but am looking forward to trying them in September. The last two trips I've worn Crocs beaches...and for the first time no blisters, no hotspots, and sore knees even were at a minimum! They're a lifesaver!

When we were at WDW last month, I bought a pair for little DD and myself. DD has flat feet, and is a very slow walker. We packed a pair of sandals for her, but she was complaining the first night that her feet hurt, so I broke down and got her a pair. She wore them every day, and was able to keep up with us. As for me, the first night, my feet were killing me too (and I was wearing my Birkies that I've worn to WDW and DL in the past!) so I decided to give the Crocs a try. I can honestly say, my feet never bothered me. They never felt hot and sweaty, but more important, they didn't hurt, and lately, my feet have hurt alot! (tho' I do have a little bit of trouble with the top of my foot rubbing on the top of the shoe, but not enough to bring on a blister) I've worn them now and then since we've been home, and get a lot of comments on how "cute" they are. My older DD and DH still call them ugly, but I don't care!!!

I got a pair of beach style crocs a month ago and while wearing them the top of my foot began rubbing against the top of the shoe. What do you all do for this if it happens? There really awesome shoes and im glad I bought them but cant have that rubbing while walking around disney it hurt :sad1: Will a bit of moleskin help ward off the rubbing?

I understand. I think they are very ugly too. Until I got a pair, wore them, and suddenly they were the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I've walked around the park in them many times with no problem, but I'm so used to wearing Birks that they didn't phase me. I can see where if you are used to supporting, cushy sneakers, then they may not be so great after a while. My advice, get some BEFORE your trip and try them out. You can always use them at home later when you don't have to walk around the world.:thumbsup2

Problems with the top of fee??? First thing that comes to my mind is....I wonder if you both got the right size. The Beach and Cayman Crocs are suppose to fit 'loose'....like an inch space around your foot. Anyways....maybe if you don't have the 'space' around your foot then it could cause it to rub more and create blisters??? Anyways....I'd guess to say moleskin would help with the rub...it'd create a nice layer between your foot and the shoe. :thumbsup2

You can grab them and pull upward to stretch them too, a couple tries and they will stay, or try wearing with socks. Another thing you can do it toss them in the dryer for a few seconds (not long!!) to soften them, and then wear them with heavy socks for a while so they stretch. I stretched my Niles that way because they rubbed the top of my foot (very high instep).

I would have thought that too, but my shoes are actually big around my feet. They don't even touch the top of my foot until I start walking. I am planning on wearing them pretty much every day this week and next to see if they are broken in. This may be a dumb question, but what exactly is moleskin? I am going to google it right now! :surfweb:

Got it! I may have to buy some of that!

After reading all the posts on here I decided that I was going to get a pair for my trip in Nov. My problem is, I believe they don't come in half sizes (at least I haven't found any or I'm not looking in the right places). I wear a 9 1/2. I tried on a 9, definatley too small, and I tried on a 10 and they seemed too big. Anyone out there a half size and have a pair? What did you do, smaller size and stretch them or go with the bigger size?

:hippie: I finally bought a pair prior to our June trip to WDW. They look hideous on me (size 10/bright green) but I wore them on alternating days. I did however put a pair of ankle socks in my backpack for later in the day when my feet were getting a little bit sensitive from the bumps on the shoes. Once the socks were on, immediate relief and we were off again. DS9 loved his Crocs too and yes, when I put on socks, he did too. Have a great trip in your Crocs!:teacher:

I know how the beach and Cayman crocs are suppose to fit...but how are the Cleo's 'suppose' to fit.

They fit more like a typical sandal, not loose like the beach and caymans. I wear a 7 1/2, so sized up to an 8 and they're perfect.

I am also a 9 1/2 and I have 2 pairs. One is a size 9 and the other is 10. The 10's, even though they're a little big, are probably the more comfortable of the 2 pairs. You get used to them either way. If you're toes are touching the ends of the 9's I'd say go for the 10's because if you're walking a lot your feet will start to swell a little bit.

I've never actually used moleskin..but DH swears by it and so do quite a few other people. If you think about it...it should work wonders. Alot of people say they wouldn't go walking long distances or hiking without it...and at the FIRST twing of a hot spot forming they cover it with the mole skin. I'd think if you already know where your trouble spots are then cover them before anything is created. :thumbsup2 Moleskin just acts as a barrier between your skin and what ever is rubbing it.

I just came back from a 5 day stay. I bought the mary-jane crocs for myself. I have always worn my Nike Shox at the parks and usually bring two pairs just in case one should get wet from a ride. On this stay, I wore my crocs everyday, all day and have to say, my feet did not bother me once. Yes, they are flat and you do feel most everything under your feet (rocks, uneven pavement etc.) but they were airy and light and the best thing is that if they do get wet, you can just dry them off with a napkin and keep on going. I also bought the clog style for DDs 4 and 2. They also wore them most of the trip too. Not one complaint from either of them. Great for the airport security FYI.
