We love our crocs my daughters, my son, and my self, but what about my husband? He thinks ours are great, but he is affaid that other fathers don't wear them. Any other fathers out there? please let me know so I can get him a pair.
We live in Tennessee, and we always see men wearing crocs. I have seen men wearing them at WDW too. In my opinion, crocs don't look as bad as people say. They have them in a different shades of brown, different shades of blue and black, as well as the vibrant colors. I would get them. They are comfortable too.
I bought Crocs for my dh and 20 y/o ds before our Sept 2006 trip. Both swore they probably wouldn't wear them. After one day in mk wearing their favorite sneakers, they decided they would try them the next day. My dh wore them for the remainder of the trip. My ds (20 y/o) said they felt "weird" and went back to his sneakers. He swore they were more comfortable, but I suspect at 20, looking cool was a higher priority than comfort.
I'm a man and I proudly wear my crocs. Right now I only have the Crocs Scutes, but I will be purchasing a pair of the Beach Crocs prior to our trip to WDW in Aug.
The scutes look like your everyday flip flop. Here's a picture of the Scute.
i bought a pair for my boyfriend for his birthday (more so as a joke than anything else and i told him to return them if he didn't want them). he actually thinks they are comfortable, but lame looking. i'd really be surprised if he wears them. he has these ratty old adidas sandals that he likes wearing, but i told him to throw those out and wear the crocs.
If my husband could get away with wearing his crocs all day every day he would. He swears that they are better than his best pair of sneakers and he is a PE Teacher. He loves them so much as soon as he is done teaching he puts them on for the rest of the day. He wants another pair for Father's Day, looks like I am going to shoebuy.com for another pair.

My DH never really thought highly about Crocs when I and the kids bought our first pairs.
But then after wearing mine to the pool while at POR in Sept, he came back raving about how great they were.....but how they were too small for his feet!
So in Jan he bought a pair of Mickey one's in DTD. And he loves them!!
He wore them the next day at MK and was amazed at how great his feet felt.
I love my crocs; have several pair of beach's and a pair of athens. At first I would say that there is no way I would have a pair of those ugly shoes but after trying them on and eventually buying a pair to wear camping....well I was sold and now have 5 pair.
DH wore his Crocs to the parks every day of our 10 day trip to WDW last September and complained about having to put on dress shoes for dinner! As soon as he gets home from work he puts them on and wears them all weekend as well. I just bought him a new pair for this year's trip!
After my DH made fun of me & DD12 for being "obsessed" with the crocs and trying to figure out what color/style to order for our upcoming vacation, I told him that they were the "preferred shoe for Disney" and were all over the web from DIS-ers. That did it. He had me order him a pair of the "Off Road" ones in black. He is planning on wearing them at WDW, the beach, the showers, etc. He doesn't think I'm quite so crazy now...at least all alone. He thinks everyone is crazy.

I am a 53 yo D,ale, and I love my crocs ! Used to think they were the ugliest things ever ! Still do. But I love 'em. I just returned from 10 days in West Palm Beach. I brought crocs (navy blue), Tevas, running shoes, and flip flops. I only wore the crocs and my golf shoes for 10 days ! I'm looking for another pair (maybe brown) for our Aug. trip to the world. Tell him not to look at them and he'll love 'em ! Good luck !!
After reading all these posts, I think you guys have started to change my mind about men wearing crocs, and now I am thinking about getting a pair for my tip in May. But I do have a few questions.
First, how good are crocs at drying out after getting wet (like after riding Kali River Rapids), and also, do they stay on your feet when riding a floorless coaster (like Dueling Dragons at IOA)?
