Crocs Fit?

i need help with this guys...i know there are TONS of threads about these shoes, and i apologize, but i have no one else to ask. i tried on a couple of pairs of crocs-one pair had the holes in the top, one didn't. i wanted the ones w/ the holes in the top, but when i walked in them, my big toe rubbed the end, and the next size up was WAY too big (my foot actually wanted to slide out of it). would the smaller ones have been ok, or would i need to buy the other type of crocs w/o the holes in the top (which SEEMED to fit correctly, based upon what i've read)? HELP!

Crocs are not suppose to touch any part of you foot but the bottom. If you wear a half size try the Cayman style. I have two pair and the Beach style does not touch the foot at all, I had to wear the strap until they molded to my feet. The Caymans are sized differently and as I wear a half size I went one size down but an not sure I like the fit. My toes sometimes touch the end, but only at times. I am wearing the Caymans as much as I can before we leave in May so I will know if they are park worthy. I have only worn them to work on Friday's because orange Crocs tend to stick out even here in Tennessee where everything is orange. I think they only seem big because everyone is so use to shoes that touch the feet. Good luck once you find a size that you like you will never want to wear anything else.

"THE PERFECT CROCS™ FIT.

Crocs™ should not fit like other shoes:

They should fit very loosely.

The sides of your foot should not really touch the sides of the shoe.

Your toes should never make contact with the front of the shoe.

Once you have centered your foot on the foot-bed:

You should have about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of space in front of your toes, behind your heel and when you lift the strap you should be able to comfortably get your finger between the strap and heel.

In other words the fit should be “loose”.

I know that this goes against everything that you have ever been used to in a shoe, but these are the parameters that the shoe was designed to be worn under.

No Pressure points Ever!

To insure that the strap is not pulling your foot into the front of the shoe, rotate the strap forward and determine if your foot rests comfortably in the foot bed and there is room all around your foot. If so, you have the proper size but the strap is too short. To alleviate this issue, work your fingers around the strap and stretch it as you go around being careful not to put excessive pressure on the rivet hole. Stretch the strap until it is just short of the back edge of the shoe. The resin material has memory and will stay at the proper length after one or two of these types of adjustments."

I had exactly the same problem, momof1... what I did was buy the open toed NILE style which allowed my toe the extra quarter inch it needed. The XS was the size that fit my foot with my toe just touching the edge, now they are perfect because my toe has the room it needs

OoOo i wish my store had the niles! i live in a small city and can only find 1 store that has them maybe by the time we leave for wdw, they'll have expanded their stock!

I am also new to these shoes but, am wanting a pair for myself and my DD8. We have tried on the airwalks at Payless because I can't find any others around us. I want to be able to get the correct size for us both. I had no idea on how they should fit. I want to thank you so much for the details that you gave on how they should fit. At our payless they also do not have children sizes in the store. I was thinking if I could find the correct size in ladies then my daughter couls wear them???? What do you think about that??? I just want us to have a wonderful time in the parks for a week and not have feet trouble. We went last year to Kings Island and it was for two days and we all had so bad of blisters that I could hardly walk and had tennis shoes on with socks. I do not want that repeat and that park is nothing on size campared to WDW.

Any and all comments and suggestions would be so very helpful. We leave for our trip June 5-12. When should i get these shoes so we can get use to them and see if they are going to work for us????? I just really do NOT want to order them online until I know we will not have trouble with them and also know for sure the size we both need.

Just went to Costco and found the crocs beach for $19.99. I tried it on and felt funny about it too but since i read this thread how comfortable it is....maybe i'll give it a second try...and we'll see !!

This is what I did. It's from the Crocs Web site:

It really worked for me. Now they are loose and good! Just make sure you don't stretch the rivet hole.

Do you have G.I. Joes, REI, or Nordstrom? I've seen then there. They should be $30 or less (that's Crocs msrp I think). If they cost more, you could (depending on shipping) just try them on at one of those stores and then buy online from Zappos dot com or crocs dot com. Good luck and have fun!

I put mine in the dryer (on high) for 5 minutes, and then I wore them with 2 pairs of socks to stretch them.

They stretched too much. They were way too floppy.

I almost threw them away, but someone here on the Dis said to put them in the dryer again (with the strap pulled up in "clog position") and then wear them barefoot like clogs after 5 minutes in the dryer. Then, you gently position the strap.

My crocs did shrink some, and are comfortable enough. I wish that the straps were just a *tad* tighter--I might reshape them 1 more time. The fit enough for me to wear them frequently and I'd bring them along on vacation.

I bought a 2nd pair, and my 2nd pair are Caymans. I like they way they fit better than the Beach Crocs.

I bought a pair the other day. I'm a 9 1/2 shoe sometimes a 10. I bought the Large beach style which says they are a size 10-11. My feet still touch the top of the shoes and a little on the sides. I KNOW the XL will be way to big. I'll try the stretching out of the back strap.

Go online to the Crocs Store. That is where I got mine!!

Robindianne- Thank you so much for the advise about streching the strap. I got my Crocks the other day at Bass Pro Shop. I have trying to wear them but they were hurting my toes. As soon as I read about the strap pushing the foot toward the front, it sounded like what mine were doing. I just streched them and they feel a lot better. After I streched one of them, I looked at the other one and the strap was almost a half inch in from the back. That is exactly what was happening-the strap was pushing my foot to the front. I'm going to wear them the rest of the week before my trip and see how they feel. I'll probably go ahead and take them and then decide if I will wear them in the parks. Thanks again.

I really wanted a pair too! The same problem, 7 too small, 8 were gigatic. That was the cayman style. I just bought a pair of the beach style in a 7. I just love them. They are so comfy. Good luck. I bought lime green, my dh just hates them, but I love them.

If they are not supposed to touch any part of your foot, what the heck keeps 'em on???
