I am looking at Crocs for my family for our upcoming trip. DD (4) has a pair of Caymans that she loves, but that is the extent of my Crocs experience. I am not wild about the look for myself, but keep seeing raves on these boards. My question is has anyone tried the different styles, if so, would you recommend them for WDW? I am looking at the following:

Me: Adara or Cleo Sandals
DH: Crete flip flops or Scutes
DD: Minnie Janes or Cinderella Croclings
DS: Croclings or Otter Kids (I am not sure about him, he will have just turned 2 when we go)

Any other style suggestions welcome. Really trying to stay away from Caymans, but if those are the best bet for the parks, I will do it. Thank you!!

I wear my mary jane style and love them. DH wears the cayman and he did try the scutes and said they would not work for all day walking but the cayman were perfect and the flip flops after a while really start to get uncomfy between the toes, great for hanging out in though. Now for my girls....they wear crocs a lot at home but not at disney...crocs cause kids to trip up very easily and even more so if they are younger and klutzier. I saw 2 kids take headers while running in crocs and one got stuck in the escalator at WDW and was so glad i opted to not let the kids wear them. They wore them out at night ...just not at the park all day. I get the stride rite sandals that are "surf and turf" they are awesome and the kids love them...no blisters, nice and cool and comfy. good luck and have a nice trip!

Hi
I'm female and love the Croc Scutes. They're the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn. I wore them everyday to the parks, and never had a blister. My DD bought the Croc Patras and loves them. She said they're so comfortable and they look more stylish. I tried the Cleos, but I kept walking out of them. You can order from Shoebuy.com and try them. They have free shipping and free return. Good luck!!

Hi .

When our family went - we were Crocs Our Us!!!

I wear scutes or caymans, DH wears the Off roads (more manly he says), the kids wore Caymans - 14, 5, 3, 18 mos - with no problems or blisters or complaints,,,,,

For kids I really like the croclings (sp?) the stretchy fabric heel strap, top of foot stays in place better

I would stay of the flip flops I tried on our last trip and in between my toes were horrible I had to go back to the hotel to change in to my caymans.

I'm absolutely worried about this. My daughter is a clutz and we just bought Crocs. :sad2:

For kids I love the croclings!! My DS8 loves his and unfortunely he has outgrown them. I wish that they would make a bigger size in the croclings. They stay on better and I find that he does not trip as much when wearing them.

If your child isn't used to Crocs- I wouldn't have her wear them all day as they do take some "breaking in" for the kids to get used to walking in them. We go in Sept every year so we let DD wear her crocs all summer and then they are perfect for Disney. She loves them. My first Crocs were Caymens and I didn't break them in before Disney and didn't find them to be that comfy all day. However, now that I've had them for awhile...I wear them all the time and find them to be very comfy. I also have the Capri flip flops. They don't have the "Croc" material in between your toes so they are really comfy. I would suggest trying that style.

i had a question about the croclings...
My favorite part of te caymans for the kids and theme parks is they are perfect for water features and wet rides...will this be a problem or an irritation with the fabric on the crocling?
thanks!

I have the minnie janes I just bought at the beginning of the month while in disney b/c tennies decided they were to old. I have never owned a pair or crocs b/c I didn't think I would like them but it has been the total opposite thats all I have wanted to wear and I a flip flop kid of gal. My foot was hurting and I needed a little more support than what I was going to get from my flip flops and when I say they had minnin janes in my size I bought them my foot didn't bother me the rest of the trip.

We all have the beach style. I think that is pretty similar to the Caymans so I hope we will have no problems wearing them at the parks. They are taking a pair of tennis shoes just in case.

Also, if you want to give Crocs a try, but want a money back guarantee, just in case. Check out Zappos.com!

My guess is that they would be fine. The fabric is very much like a spandex bathing suit fabric

I think the going rate is between 25 & 35. I got my son Mammouth Crocs for the winter and they were 29.99. They have a pretty set standard price across the board. I am not sure if you have your heart set on Crocs, but Skechers makes them and Airwalk makes them for Payless.
