On my upcoming trip with my neice I am most likely bringing only Crocs to wear on my feet. If I have a resort casual outfit on, would it be okay to wear Crocs? I can bring other shoes, but these days I am loving my Crocs SO much that if I could do it I would wear them to the California Grill.

So, what do you think?

Linda

Even though I've never been to California Grill, I say go ahead and wear em. You're on vacation...and you'll likely never see those people again anyway...lol.

Let those tooties be free! :cool1: :cool1:

What color are they?

No really.....the 'neutrals' are less, um, how shall I say this, um, ugly.

Aren't they great shoes? I've been trying to find the lime green/fusia Athens everywere, but I'm going to have to break down and buy them on-line and pay the stupid shipping. :teeth:

Oh, wear what you want...lots of people show up in 'park' clothes and some dress for the 'nice dinner out'. I know your feet will be happy ::yes::

They should be just fine. Absent bare feet or pool-style filpflops, most any footware is acceptable.

The California Grill does have a dress code ("smart business casual") although we've never seen it enforced -- we dress nicely (not all out, just, well, smart business casual!) but we've seen some shorts-and-tees folks in there as well. I would say the crocs would be fine, but I would also say that IMHO you're making a big mistake going to WDW with only one pair of shoes! Even the most comfortable walking shoes probably don't get the kind of use at home that you'll be putting them through, day after day, at the parks. Please do bring some other back-up pair (sneakers?) just in case....

I was actually going to bring several pairs of Crocs. I have found these to be the most comfortable shoes for my feet, believe it or not! I work in a Group Home and am sometimes on my feet and walking LOTS for up to 15 hours. My feet don't hurt at all. I have worn them with socks, without socks, etc. with no problems at all.

That being said.....I will probably bring another pair of walking sandals or maybe sneakers just in case....but I bet they don't get worn!

LOL! I have 4 pairs of Crocs picked out for the next trip - pink, purple, red, and light blue!

This is great news for me because I too was wondering about footwear since after our dinner we're headed to Epcot for Illuminations and then walking back to the Dolphin. Knowing I can wear my Crocs is great!

With pants, black crocs would be the least noticeable. With a skirt, or in a bright color, they would look silly, IMO.

When we ate at California Grill in March I wore my beige crocs with jeans and a nice shirt. I thought they were nicer than tennis shoes.

I ate at CG in March and I wore a nice pair of capris and a bright golf shirt and my bright orange CROCS. I did not feel out of place and I saw a few other people wearing CROCS as well.

Thanks Ladybugsy, but they don't have my size (Womens 6) on that site :guilty:

DBF and I ate at CG last September....and were actually late for our ressie because we were getting ready. We wanted to follow the dress code because the CM that we spoke with really stressed it to us. But, when we got there...we saw people in jeans and crocs and basically anything. We were like 'Man...we could have worn what we wore to the parks!'. Next time...we will dress a little more casual.

I'm glad someone else has orange crocs. I have bought my first pair for our trip and my DH says they look like Duck's feet. Watch out Donald! :rotfl2:
