hi all!
the ads here on the dis always do a good job of sucking me in. lately the ads have been for crocs. i have the mickey mouse crocs that i bought at disney a few years ago. i only wear them on my disney trips because, well, otherwise they are pretty ugly! lol.

i was looking at these though: http://www.crocs.com/crocs-crocband-flat/11072,default,pd.html?cid=730&cgid=new-spring-arrivals

and they aren't half bad! in fact, i feel like for the summer they would be pretty great to wear to/from the beach club, food shopping, etc.

looks like they are only available for pre-order but i'm wondering what people's experiences have been with the closed-toe crocs. are they really breathable? do they make your feet sweat? i really never wear shoes without socks except for flip flops and crocs and i'm wondering if i'll need peds or something with these? think the plastic will rub around the foot opening and blister?

i know they aren't expensive but the less i spend here at home the more i can spend on our first trip "home" in september :):cloud9: so i want to get info before purchasing!

thanks!!!

I have the Crocs Malindi, they are sling back and pretty closed in the front but not as closed as the one you are looking at. I wear them alot in the spring and I don't have a problem. Once it starts to get warm my feet do get hot in them. When that happens I use the Dr Schoals foot deoderant spray and I don't have a problem. I am quite blister prone and haven't gotten a blister from them. The first few times I wore them I put on that Band Aid blister block stuff (your rub it on) just to be safe and I haven't had a problem. I also try to alternate my shoes a bit so I don't get blisters. I have worn them multiple days in a row but I make sure at home I'll put on flip flops or something since I am so blister prone.

As for wearing peds or something I have a pair of winter crocs, they are all closed and looks like velvet on the outside and the inside is the same as regular crocs. I tried wearing peds or trouser socks with those and my foot slids forward and they make my feet hurt (my toes specifically). So I haven't been able to wear them but I guess everyone is different.
