Crocs adds Disney line

Disney characters will become part of a limited edition of Crocs Inc. shoes, just in time for the 2006 holiday season.

Niwot, Colo.-based Crocs (NASDAQ: CROX) announced Tuesday that the "Disney by Crocs" line will debut with Mickey Mouse die-cut Adult Beach and Kid's Cayman models. They'll be available in dual colors, including Mickey Mouse's signature black and red.


Other designs will include Mickey and Friends, Winnie the Pooh and Friends, Disney Princess, Disney Fairies, Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story and Cars.

An expanded product line is planned for spring 2007. Terms of the agreement with Burbank's Disney (NYSE: DIS) were not available.

Interesting...I wonder what the adult versions will look like. Does "mickey mouse die-cut" mean that the round holes in the crocs will be mickey-shaped instead? I can't really picture it, but I'll be interested to see what they look like.

Goodness...the Dis boards must have really amped up crocs sales in the last few years for them to be making Disney CROCS!! I wish they lived up to the hype...not comfy and massive blisters for me. I'm glad so many people like them though...the Disney versions are going to sell like hotcakes!! I may even buy a pair just b/c I love anything Disney and am such a sucker for the mouse!

I have been a loyal croc-wearer for about a year and I just learned about these new (not so new anymore I guess) Disney crocs. I've already ordered them for my upcoming trip!

I was reading this thread totally confused...I kept thinking "Well yes, we know this already...I have my pink Disney crocs on my feet right this moment..." And the person who wondered if the holes in crocs would be shaped like Mickey heads instead...I was wondering where in the name of Disney have all these people been living that they don't know about Disney crocs...especially if they are Disers!!!

Then I realized that this post was initially started a YEAR ago!

I thought I'd lost my mind...which is possible actually...

I can't wait to get them-I have the mickey crocs they sell at the parks and I love them! I wonder what the Pooh will be like?

My mother-in-law, who is going with us in Sept. , got some for my boys and they love them.

The two year old will hardly take them off!

They are pretty darn cute!
