I have a couple questions about these items...

I have seen them both in many threads- do the crocs really work?
They look sooo plastic-y? I mean, I wore sneakers/flip flops most days and was fine but our last trip was in January. Judging on the fact the Florida summers are hot and humid like here in NY I figure I will really want to leave the socks in the hotel room... but I just need to hear that Crocs are worth it- since again, they are so strange looking! They remind me of moon shoes or like gardening shoes or something. I don't know much about them.

Also, I have seen recommendations for the "green baggallini" or the "khaki baggallini" but when I go the the website there are SO many! I have no idea which one is the recommended one! Hopefully someone who posted some of these threads will have some input for me here. I was thinking of getting a LeSportSac bag for the waterproof and easy material (we used a little drawstring bookbag from my college last time and it was pink so my boyfriend never wanted to wear it... lol) but want to see the magic baggallini that everyone loves!

We are not going until July but my birthday is coming soon so I wanted to ask for some trip needs. A good bag and perfect shoes are the first things that come to mind.

Please help!

Crocks Rock! I tried these last year for our trip. My mom has a hard time finding shoes because she has wide feet. She wears these to work now. They are very comfortable and your feet don't sweat. My last trip I wore them the whole time and my heels really didn't hurt like they usually do from standing all day. I love them. I just bought another part of Disney Crocks, I can't wait to wear them in a few weeks.

The Crocs are great. I have a pair of the Caymans as well as a pair of the Airwalk knock-offs (available at Payless for half the cost). I actually like the Airwalks better but both are fabulous. I have plantar fasciitis and I cannot wear flip-flops or any shoe with minimal arch support. I cannot even go barefoot in my house so I wear my Airwalks ALL THE TIME! The Crocs are a little wider than the Airwalks so that is probably why I like my Airwalks better. They look like plastic or rubber but they do not feel like either. As they "warm" up, they conform to your foot and they are SO comfortable. Once you get over their awkward appearance (and realize that there are a lot of others wearing them too!) you'll appreciate the comfort. If you have a Payless near you, I would suggest trying the Airwalks (once they're back in season) and wear them a while. If you like them, you'll probably like the Crocs too and they come in better colors and styles!

I got Crocs after DH suggested them. I was 5 months pregnant the first time I wore them to WDW. They were heaven! I ended up wearing them almost everyday for the rest of my pregnancy, even to work. So comfortable!:cool1:

I just ordered the baggalini. :woohoo: It has not come in yet but here is the one I order after reading alot of comments on the board for them. I got a code from a prior post and it only cost me $28.95 which I think was a good deal.

Hope this helps,

Wow! Thanks for all the info... I think I might ask for both regular and Disney Crocs... One pair in light blue and the Dis ones in white with the pink strap... Just to switch it up a bit :)
Are they okay to get wet? Or do I have to like dry my feet off after Splash Mountain? In flip flops I was fine to walk around but my arches hurt at night.
I really like that Baggallini messenger bag so I am going to decide between that or the LeSportSac backpack depending on what my DBF says... because in the heat of summer he will def have to switch off with me! :)

Thanks for all the help so far!

I love my Crocs! People made fun of me two years ago, but now every one around wears them.
As for the Baggallini - I have the messenger bag.

I can't get my link to work, but you can go to baggallini.com to check out your options.
I'm not thrilled with it. I'm proned to headaches, and having something over ONE shoulder all day drove me crazy. All I had in mine was my phone, credit card, a few meds in a ziplock and lipgloss. Everything fit in my hand and was light. It's a great idea, but it didn't work for me.
I think backpacks work better for me because the weight is distributed evenly. I have a Vera Bradley quilted backpack that I adore. It is practically weightless.

WHOO HOO!:cool1: Thanks I ordered mine, in a smaller size this time, hope they fit better!

Wow! Are they okay to get wet? Or do I have to like dry my feet off after Splash Mountain?

One of the best things about Crocs is they are fine to get wet! There are vents on the sides where any water that gets in drains out. I wore them last September and my feet got wet but I didn't care. The water drained out so the soles of the Crocs and my feet both dried quickly. No wet socks or shoes to deal with, and no drying off necessary.

I just picked up the new Crocs Cleos yesterday at Dick's and can't wait for warmer weather to get here so I can start wearing them. Plus, it will make a nice alternative to my Beaches and Disney Crocs for our trip to WDW in April/May.

Crocs are WONDERFUL:cool1: I have been to the parks several times and always ended up with blisters and very tired aching feet but I went in May for 10 days and wore crocs, NO blisters and my feet did not get so tired! Give them a try, you will love them:thumbsup2

The Disney Crocs seem to come online in the "Cayman" style.... do you guys reccommend if I am going to get a second pair that are the original crocs going with "Beach"?

Also are they hard to clean? I was thinking of going with the white ones with the pink strap for Disney Crocs but not if they will get terribly dirty and stain easy.

And, monica31671,
I agree that the over the shoulder seems like a hassle... I think I may stick with my orginal idea of getting a LeSportSac backpack... especially because we have an outlet about a half hour away where I can probably get one at discount.

This is a major concern of mine as I have had shoulder issues with my right shoulder ever since high school and a cheerleading injury. I bought a baggalini the other day so that I can use it for a while and see how my shoulder takes it. I'd rather not get to the parks and find out the bag I bought for my trip just isn't going to work out.

Wow! I just went to the crocs website and discovered that they have several new styles coming out on March 1st. I already have a pair of Athens flip-flops, which I love. They now have a new flip-flop style, Crete, which looks sleeker. My daughter has a silver pair of Caymens, which she wears all the time. I can't wait until the 1st.

I never thought I would like the Crocs. I saw some at the PX (military Post Exchange). They had a whole bunch of the Mickey ones in different colors, so I bought a pair in the pink color. I thought what the heck I could at least use them for pool shoes. I then went to the kids section and they had the same ones in tiny sizes (so cute!) so I bought a matching pair for DD1. She LOVES them, she wore them the whole night I brought them home. I used mine to walk down to the mailbox and it was kinda like walking on soft smooshy stuff, that's a technical term BTW. So far I like them, we'll see when I take them to WDW.

Well...Crocs are great and the Baggallini rocks! I got both for our trip last summer - I figured all these people on the boards can't be wrong.

I got the "white" crocs and they clean up great. I mowed the grass in mine last summer and got grass stains all over them - I thought I ruined them but I washed them in the sink and they came completely clean. You can get them wet...in fact, that's what they were designed for. I wore them to the water parks. They are very light and very comfortable. The only think I didn't like was getting used to the "roominess" of them. I thought my foot would move all around since they are not really snug fitting. So, I also wound up buying another pair of shoes which I fell in love with (Merrell brand slip on called the Primo Breeze II). I LOVE THIS SHOE and wear them ALL the time (I use socks in the winter to stay warmer). I am buying another pair for our trip in April. It's airy and keeps your feet cool, great support, and keeps my toes covered up so I don't get stepped on or sunburn!

As far as the Baggallini goes, I loved it. The over one should for me really worked and was very comfortable. The thing I really like about over one shoulder is that I could get on and off rides without having to take it off. When I would go to sit on a ride, I would just slid the large part to the front of me...after I got off, I would adjust it back to the side....it was VERY convenient without having to take it off. And, I could get anything out of it very quickly without having to take it off or readjust. Probably the one thing I wouldn't want to be without.

You can't go wrong with both of these items! Oh - and my kids love their "crocs" although they wear the Payless brand (they just don't hold up as long).

Hmm, get the crocs or the airwalks? One thread as DISers getting lime green crocs to recognize one another (those "Fockers"). I usually stick w/ tennis shoes, but may TRY the crocs for the water parks.

Do crocs run big then? I wear a 7 or 7 1/2 tennis shoe---so should I get a 6 1/2 crocs then? Please advise (thanks!).

Sounds like the payless versions really work?

I would love to here the answer to that questions too....

I wear around a 7 1/2- 8 and I want to order the Disney Crocs... they are Caymans...

Is it Croc-wearers advice to go smaller??

;)

Thanks for sharing that! I teach Pre-k and we wear scrubs 4 days of every week. Each day we wear a different color scrubs and I have a pair of Crocs for every color scrubs except the island green scrubs. I just ordered a pair of lime green Crocs to go with my green scrubs. $13.99 Crocs are a STEAL! I love my Crocs because they are so comfortable and when they get dirty from playground duty, I just toss them in the shower and give them a rinse. A little Armor All rubbed over them and they look like new again.
