Hello All,
I am leaving in less then a month for my first trip to Disney since the 5th grade with my husband who has never been... We are really excited for this trip as we will be celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary...I have been reading on these boards that many people love crocks...

What style crocks do people like? for men and women?

Thanks so much for all of your wisdom :)

I can't common on men's, but I just got my first pair of Crocs last month (when I ordered more for my children, who love them).
They are comfy and you don't have to wear socks with them (or you can, if you want). I've been wearing them around the house but haven't tried a long walk in them yet so I really will have to do that before our Disney trip next month. Though be careful if you are walking in grass or outside because your feet will get dirtier than you can imagine (even if you are just strolling through grass).

I ordered the "Classic" style, which is the one I seem most adults wearing.
You can check out all the styles on www.crocs.com and there is free shipping if you spend over $49. My brother has worn them for years (he lives in Florida) and he feels they are much better for him than say the flip-flop styles. My DH refuses to wear them (he is anti-sandal in general).

My only suggestion is if you can, try or buy them in a store. They only come in whole sizes, like 8/9 or 10/11 and they are supposed to be a little big on you.
I'm an 8.5 so I ordered the 8/9 and while it fits, it just fits. I think the 10/11 might have been too big for me.

Been wearing crocs to the world since they came out. Wouldnt wear anything but..even my hubby broke down and wore them in April. Can walk all day..no blisters or tired feet legs..no breaking in time either..just put them on and go. I like the Disney Caymans...also have some Disney Minnie Janes..but the caymans are more comfy to me

Thanks for your replys...
I love wearing sandals, so I am hoping for some suggestions for the sandal style crocks...
any suggestions appreciated :)

I went to Disney in 08 and it was my my second trip. My cousin recommended the traditional crocs for the trip. I wore then the ENTIRE time and did not get any blisters. I tried the sandal crocs as I LOVE sandals but I found them to slide off my feet way to easily and when you are constantly on the go at Disney I didnt think that was the best idea. Good Luck and ENJOY your trip!!:)

I wear crocs everyday. I love them. I walk thru a pair a year. Over the years this is what I have noticed.

When I bought the new Band Crocs, I should have gone a size up.

If it is wet out, Crocs can be slippery. The worst is walking on a wet road and the tape that they use for the lines. SUPER Slippery!!!!

The only blister I ever got in Crocs, and mind you I get blisters everytime is go to WDW, was when I was wearing socks and the sock got a fold in it right under my toes. I felt it coming but didn't listen.

Every year the place on my new crocs that I have to stretch out is the top inner area. I have permanent discolorations on both feet from wearing in this same spot every year. It never blisters, just rubs.

And lastly. I once spilled gas on my feet while pumping. My Crocs melted. Of course not the Crocs fault.

This year I bought our through ebay for $18.

OK, first of all I LOVE croc's!!! I am a critical care nurse for 20 years and have spent HUNDREDS :scared1: on fancy nurses shoes over the years and the best shoes I ever got were my crocs. I am at work right now wearing them, never have back pains, foot pains or blisters and man do I walk a lot at work (usually, not tonight though...was floated to child pysch and all the kiddo's are asleep :thumbsup2) I am so happy they just opened a Croc store at the local Tanger outlet mall and plan on taking the whole family there for this years trip to WDW in Oct. DH had refused to wear them but last trip he wore his old sneakers and his feet paid dearly for that mistake. The one thing I would never wear to WDW is plain flip flops because you get no arch support and I can imagine the pain people must be in at the end of the day with those.

And I got one little blister in the area where the bands are attached to the croc while I was breaking them. If I wear socks or remember to use a little band-aid on that spot there's no problem.
My feet are a little larger than the shoe but one number up was too much of room left :confused3
But I really can say they're confy for long days on foot And slippery on wet floor. I slipped on my garage floor... the janitor was just finishing to wash the pavement and there I went kapoft :lmao:

Please let me clear up some information.

Crocs are made to not slip. They were developed to go boating in. IF your Crocs have become slippery when wet......THEY ARE TOO OLD and need replaced. That is one of the ways to know they are worn out.

The material is slip resistant. It grabs, not slips when wet. But they do wear out quickly if you use them daily. (6 mos is about all I get out of them)

I am a big fan of Crocs, they are the best for walking in, especially on cement.

The clog styles (beach/caymen) are unisex, just know your size. Most people can wear the size you normally wear and the size smaller. I fit in this catagory. I have very wide feet and yet I can wear a size smaller.

Right now (the month of august) Crocs.com is having a sale, buy one get one 50% off.

Let me say, the reason the janitor was giving the garage floor a wash was a oil leak from some resident's car... and oh, well, using 'water' just spread the oil all over the floor :p so I think my poor 3 mo crocs cannot take all the blame and I am a klutz. I can trip in my on calves!

I just purchased for my DH the "Trailbreak" Crocs and that's the only style he would ever consider wearing.

I like most of the croc styles but cannot wear the flipflop style because I don't like anything between my toes.
I have purchased for this trip: Mary Jane style, and malinda (these have a snug fit and I break these in before my trip).

I have purchase off of the croc website and they have a free return shipping policy that I have use when returning crocs that were
to big (without any problems).

i have many many pairs of crocs, and my last trip (sept 08) i wore my athens flip flops a lot, i had also brought my capri flip flops and the baya clogs...
i wore the athens and the baya the majority of the time...the material on the capri was a little irritating for such long days....out of the clog styles, i prefer the baya because there aren't holes around the toes area like the classic ones, and my 2nd toe is extremely long, and it happens to poke through one of the holes (its really funny to see actually)...the baya has closed toes and it has the word "crocs" cut out on the side
mine are very well worn, and i'm sure i'll bring them again...they come in whole sizes, and the womens' 11 fits perfectly (i also have a pair of croc band clogs, and those 11 seem to be a little short....)
this year i purchased the pair of croc band flip flops, and have been wearing them every day, i just ordered another pair to wear in disney...i'll have those flip flops and my bayas...
i also have a pair of the trailbreaks..i wore those in hawaii and they were super comfy for walking
dh has a pair of the, ok, well, they don't have them online anymore, but they're clogs with a closed toe and the strap aroung the back is velcro (i think they're called motion) and he also has a pair of the, ok, another pair that are no longer available...they remind me of old school tevas...the have a velcro strap across the toes, one around the front of the ankle and one at the heel, with a strap going down the side of the foot...he wore those in disney and had no problems...ah...just eta: i just looked up these sandals, and they are called tikali.....but i think they're discontinued...shame...they're cool
my bil has a pair of the santa cruz, so does my dad...they find those realy comfy too....
if i could wear crocs every day i would! (oh wait, i kind of do!)

Not seeing this thread immediately, I started another in my search to replace the Crocs you see in the picture here. If anyone knows where you can buy adult Disney Beach Crocs, I sure would appreciate it!

That being said, I do have the flip flop Crocs, but seem to go back to the basic Beach clog type Croc. Really comfy. Have been stomping around WDW for three years in them:thumbsup2 Do size up though. I think they come in whole sizes so if you are a half size, do size up vs. down.
