Using a crockpot at FW?? What a great idea! I would have never though of it.

Has any one uses frozen, raw meat in their crockpots before they left to go to the parks? I read somewhere that if you put frozen chicken in your recipes it won't get over cooked. I have tried this at home and it works.

I do that all the time at home. My crock pot cooks things way too fast for some reason, so I have to put frozen food in there if I want it to take most of the day. Frozen chicken and a bottle of BBQ sauce makes a great filling for BBQ sandwiches later in the day.

Just thought I would let you know I just got a new crock pot and glanced through the owners guide and it said never but frozen meat in the pot because it increased the chance of bacteria and food spoilage.I have however, also put at least partly frozen meat in and been just fine too.
