For those of you who do chicken in your crock pot a lot, I have a question for you. I have a recipe that calls for a 2 lb chicken, veggies, etc. It is to cook for 6-7 hours. I would like to make that recipe with 4 boneless chicken breasts instead. What should I adjust the cooking time to (if at all)????

If you can fit them all flat in the crock pot and they are defrosted, they should cook within 3-4 hours. That being said, if you keep enough liquid in the crock pot to keep them moist, the meat will just get more and more tender the longer it cooks - that's the beauty of crock pot cooking, it is pretty much 'set and forget'.

My chicken seems to dry out in the crockpot if left too long even with liquid. If it's thawed when you put it in I say 3-4 hours max

I have a chicken recipe that I love in the crockpot. What I do is put chicken breast frozen in the crockpot in the morning say like 7is and set it on low and we usually eat around 5. Its tender and so good. :)

Might be a difference in how much liquid - I generally cover just over the top of the chicken with liquid, end up pouring off a little (depending how long it cooked), and using most of the rest for rice (always goes well with chicken and is a really great use for all that excess flavored liquid, far better than a side of plan rice, and if you season the original liquid well, brings a lot of flavor to the party).

I used boneless chicken breast for a chicken-n-dumplin' recipe and cooked it for about 7 hours on low. It came out really tender and not dry at all.

I only eat boneless chicken (ya I know....LOL) and I do it in the crock pot all the time. For 10 hrs on low.....that way when I get home from work dinner is done.
