I need some help from the experts. I think I've decided that I might want a pair of Crocs for my upcoming trip to WDW (10 days! :cool1: ). But, from that last sentence, you can see that I haven't made a commitment. I have some questions.

1. I tried on several, and the style that I like best on me and that fit best is the Mary Janes. But I could feel that the soles weren't as thick and cushiony. Will this be a big difference in comfort for walking all day?

2. Having a little problem with sizing: I normally wear an 8 1/2, and I have a very narrow foot. the Cayman 8/9's aren't big enough (toes at the end if I use the ankle strap), but the next size up is HUGE! Suggestions?

3. What chain store has the best selection (would love to have the Disney's)? I was in a little boutique in Grapevine, TX. They had a GREAT selection, but not super convenient to me -- and no Disney in adult sizes.

4. Is 10 days enough to break these things in? It would just be wearing them in the afternoons (not to work).

Thank you for letting me pick your brain!

The only pair of Crocs I have are Mary Janes, and I love them. I wear a 6 1/2 and also have a narrow foot, and the size 7 MJ's fit fine. It took me a few days to get used to the way the straps hit my feet while walking, and for my foot to settle into the footbed of the shoe, but other than that, I've had no problems.

Since I've never owned a different style of Crocs, I can't say whether one is more comfortable over the other. I can say that I wear my MJ's all day and my feet feel so much better than a day in any of my other shoes.

Oh, and you can find Mary Janes at Journeys ($34.99), Dillards ($29.99), and Nordstroms ($29.99).

Crocs can be addicting. I'll try to answer your questions.

1) I just got a pair of Mary Janes (I like them a LOT), and while I haven't worn them to the World yet, I've worn them bunches when walking and they really feel a lot like the Cayman's as far as comfort.

2) Cayman's sizing is tough. I ended up going with the smaller size and wearing them "clog" style, with the strap up.

3) I have seen a wide variety at our Dillards, but the only adult disney one's I've seen are at the world. As I recall, they are only about $5 more than anywhere else, so it might be worth it for selection.

4) They won't really need to be broken in like normal shoes. They're pretty comfortable right from the get go.

Something that I don't like about my crocs is that they wear out fairly quickly. Probably because the material is so light weight. My caymans are just about a year old, and under the ball of my foot, the material is VERY thin. My DD wears hers a lot more than I do, and hers are pretty much worn out within a year. But at $30 a pair, for as much as I wear them, they can wear out in a year if they have to for the comfort.

I wear anywhere from a 7 1/2 to an 8 1/2, also an A width.

1. You really don't have to break them in. If you feel you must, I'd suggest a day or two of wearing with a pair of socks.

2. They're meant to cradle the feet and not touch the feet at all, so that feeling that they are huge means they're the right size.

Try calling around to your local hallmark stores to see if they've got the Disney crocs. Some sell the crocs, and have a halfway decent selection. Worst case scenario, you can find them at WDW. My experience has been that it's easier to find our size, lol.

Enjoy your trip-and your Crocs!

1. I just wore Crocs at WDW last month- no other shoes for a weeklong vacation, and my feet were sooo happy- both Beach and Mary Jane styles. The MJs do not have as much cushioning in the sole- I wore them one full day at MK, and my feet did feel more tired and achy than when wearing the Beach. I wouldn't say NOT to wear them, but I would say that the Beach and Cayman styles are more comfy.

2. I like to wear Crocs more close to my feet, so I always go DOWN to the next smallest size. I wear a 7- 7 1/2, and I wear the 7 in MJs and Caymans, and the S (6-7) in Beach. I don't wear the strap around my heel with the Beach or Cayman styles- I like them better as a clog, but you can put them in the dryer for just a few minutes to warm them up, and then stretch the strap (or the upper) to fit better. YMMV- lots of people like them big. I like them more snug- otherwise I feel like they are falling off. I've never had any problems with rubbing or blisters

3. The only chain stores I've seen that have a selection are Journeys, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Hallmark. I just order mine from the Crocs website- they have the largest selection of styles and colors.

4. No break-in time required!!

Ya'll are great! Thanks for all the great info. I can't wait to go get my first pair!

And, in searching around the internet, I've discovered Jibbitz! Have you seen them? They're little charms that you attach to the top of your Crocs through a hole. They have Disney ones! They're about the cutest things I've ever seen!!!
