Hi all! We switched to WL after a rough couple fo nights at Pop. When my DH went down to Pop's desk to arrange the transfer he called CRO to get a room only ressie fro WL and to pay the first nights deposit so we could change over the next day. He told them he wanted to request a bunk bed room. They told him that in order to request the BB room we had to pay for the courtyard view because BB rooms are in the higher catagory only. Well of course i was in the room with the kid's and he did not know any better so he booked it at $285. I knew rack rate for a standard room was $199 and we were paying $89 a night for 2 rooms at Pop so it was about equal ($200 a night with tx at pop or $225 a night for 1 room at WL). Well when he came back to the room and told me I said "No way- you can definitely get a standard room and request bunk beds. They can't guarantee you the bunk bed room, so how can they make you pay for a higher catagory for just requesting it?" He said that was what they told him so he paid the $285 a night deposit. I had to go down to the desk at Pop anyway to clear up some room charging issues and while I was down there I mentioned to a very nice CM what CRO had told my DH. They logged on to the WDW website and printed out the description for the different catagories, and of course it said that all standard rooms either have a king bed, 2 queens or 1 queen and a bunk bed. I went right back to the room and called WL directly because CRO was closed by this time. They told me that yes, we could request a bunk standard room and changed our ressie, crediting us for the extra money my DH paid. We checked in the next day and got our bunk standard room for the $199 a night rate!
