CRO - computers still down!

Just tried (2:00 PM Central time) to get AP rate, CM said they were available, however the computers were down. CM best guess was later this evening or maybe not until Tuesday .

I just tried too. 3pm EST. The CRO lady said she did not know of any AP rates out for March but her computers were down so she could not check anyway

It is that nasty internet virus from what I understand. Has affected many businesses!

Nothing is foolproof and the amount of money spent on protection doesn't always guarantee safety. I work for a major, major international corporation (probably comparable in size to the entire Disney family of companies) and our computers have been down all weekend and into this morning. I'm talking worldwide networking. We just got our network access back a little while ago. I can assure you that we spend millions of dollars a year on computer and internet security. We shut our network servers down on purpose in order to prevent any further problems and further protect our systems. I'd bet Disney has done the same and will not turn their systems back on until they feel it is absolutely safe.

I just called at 4:50 and they were still down. But the nice cm explained the situation and took down my info and said she would input it when the systems came up. I was just making a request on an exisiting reservation.

It's not just the reservation system that is down, it is the whole, global disney network that is not working. The computers at the wdw resorts are down and so are most of the resturaunt computers too. This problem's not only in FL, but CA, Paris, and Tokyo. Hopefully things should be running by tonight or tommorrow.

Just called and they said you needed a code for AP rates.

That's not true is it?

You may have gotten a new CM. The codes are in the Mickey Monitor which AP holders get about every 3-4 months. There isn't a current one out, at least we haven't received it yet anyway.

Just keep trying .

So that means that when the May Ap rates come out, I can just call CRO and say please apply the passholder discount to my reservation?

I won't have to wait to see a code in mousesavers?

I will be buying an ap but not activating it until we arrive, so I'm assuming I won't have a mickey monitor to go by.

Just FYI, there is always a code associated with AP discounts. It's a lot easier to book them if you know it... a lot of times the agents at CRO don't know where to look for the discount without it.
