My DD (17) just called me from her cell phone to tell me when she walked through the garage to drive to work, she saw a HUMONGOUS FROG in the garage!

She is PETRIFIED of frogs -- always has been. I mean she freaks out just talking about them.

I had to make sure she was in her car and on the way to work -- it wouldn't have surprised me if she called me to say she was staying in the house cause she didn't want to even go back out there if it was still there!

Does anyone else have a fear of some kind of critter or do any of your kids freak out about any critter?

Snakes! We've had a few around here. We've got a lake in the back and they seem to like our yard. Thanks to them, DS won't go on scouting camping trips. I can't blame him. I won't go either! :teeth:

I honestly cannot move when I see a spider. It takes great effort to even breathe. I've had a few scary encounters with spiders....including living in a old house and coming to find out it was infested with brown recluse spiders. I still get goosebumps just thinking about those things.

Birds! They terrify me...just the thought of them flapping their wings near my face....uughh...

My mother is absolutely frightened of frogs. So I make sure to buy her some sort of frog souvenir from Rainforest Cafe everytime we go to WDW...:p

For me, it's spiders! Shivvver.

I can't think of any critters that freak me out. If I see a spider I make him crawl up on a piece of newspaper or napkin so I can release him outside. I have a frog that lives somewhere under my porch and I'm so afraid of walking home some summer evening and stepping on him! He has no fear of me.

I'm not fond of snakes, but they do their thing and I do mine.

I don't like any flying, stinging insect. And we live on the edge of town where we have TONS of wasps, mud-dobbers and the like every year.

I don't really like it when Princess Di (our new Black Kitty) brings in a small snake or bird. I am accustomed to lizards, but really don't like snakes.
