We have a visitor behind the wall in our hallway. He/she is not a happy camper. It really freaked out when I ran the vacuum yesterday. Actually, it was when I turned off the vacuum that I first heard him. Don't know how long he has been there, I really don't vacuum that often. :teeth:

DH has been painting the eaves and left the vents off for a few days. Our visitor got in then I guess. I am pretty sure it got tangled up in something behind the wall down by the floor. DH made it clear he is not going to go after it until we no longer hear movement. I want him to knock out a hole in the bathroom cabinet directly behind the place in the hallway where we here it. DD10 just cringes at letting the thing die back there.

Not sure that it is a mouse, we are blessed with a large squirrel population due to our many trees and the sunflower seeds I put out for the cardinals.

Anybody have any ideas what we shoud do? :confused3 I have heard horror stories about the odor that can result if the varmint dies.

Whenever we tackle a home project like this painting gig, something bad always results. This is par for the course.

Yikes!!! The odor will be horrible. Can you call an exterminator?

Good luck, I know squirrels can really mess up your wiring :sad2:

I would call an extiminator asap. If it is a squirrel, it might chew through the wiring back there. Fixing that will be a lot more money than the exterminator bill! Besides, what if it is something else...like a skunk? Or a raccoon? Yikes! Good luck.

Oh my, a friend of mine came home one day, and on from the outside of the house she knew something was wrong. Her curtains were hanging sideways and the curtain rod was down.

When she went into the house, it was a disaster. Drapes were shredded, smudge marks all over the windows, black smudges all over the walls and carpet, furniture torn and scratched. She didn't know what happened!!!!!

Turns out some squirrels came through the chimeny and down into the first floor. Those little things can cause some major damage.

She was so upset, especially when she found out that nothing was covered under homeowners.

Hope your visitor leaves real soon!

Last year a bird got stuck in our wall. :confused3. It got in through the drier vent. I refused to go in my house unil it was taken care of. I kept telling myself pretend it is a disney character that is trapped and can`t find its family. :guilty:

Well it cost me 700.00 to get it removed and close up any openings. :furious:
Good luck to you and whatever is in your wall.
