Critiquing a photo...

I am taking a photography class in an adult school setting. Our instructor wanted us to find a pic online and critique it. I have never done it before and I was wonder what exactly should be mentioned in a critique.

No I don't want you to do it for me. I am just confused. LOL. It's been years since I have had homework.
 
It depends on the picture. You can comment on the technical side of the photo, exposure, focus, etc. then you can comment on the composition of the photo and the visual appeal of the photo.
 
I would also include any feelings that the picture evokes in you. Sometimes, there is just something about a picture that speaks to you in a significant way.
