It will be me (21, vegetarian) and DBF (22, omnivore) at the beginning of January on the dining plan. We're both into varied cuisine and are trying to stay away from things we get regularly at home (ie Italian, Mexican, etc) unless there's a special draw. Here's what I've picked, let me know what you think!
- Les Chefs de France (arrival day lunch)
- 50s Prime Time Cafe (lunch)
- Le Cellier (dinner)
- Kona Cafe (late brunch, out of pocket)
- Restaurant Marrakesh (dinner)
- Teppanyaki (lunch)
- Boma (dinner)
Counter Services will be more spontaneous, but we will probably try tusker house, columbia harbour house, and everything pop among others.

One thing I was thinking was switching Marrakesh wtih dinner at Cindy's, but more for atmosphere than food, as there doesn't look to be much I'll eat there.
Thoughts? advice?

Le Cellier & Les Chef de France are excellent. I haven't eaten at the others. You will enjoy the atmosphere at Epcot. My only suggestion would be to try one of the signature restaurants like, Hollywood Brown Derby or California Grille. Enjoy!

We thought about it, but we're so excited to try these restaurants that I don't think we need to worry about trying to pay for some of them out of pocket just to add in another dinner at a fancier place. It'll leave something to try someday when we can afford the splurge instead of trying to pinch pennies out of other parts of our vacation (or forgoing two of these restaurants that we're really excited about!) to make it work. One change we are doing I think- we're adding dinner at CRT, and either getting rid of 50s PTC or paying for it out of pocket. Gotta get DBF in the right mood to spell all this out for him and get his opinion lol! But I figure that with CRT, Le Cellier and all the other more "exotic" choices, we'll have plenty of dining much nicer than we ever have at home- without the stress of trying to make a signature place work this trip.

Marrakesh is one of our favorites! We love it. Plus I think there will be a few choices for vegetarian dining. Have not been to Cinderella's.
Have fun!

we went to CRT years ago the food was ok but very fun to eat in the castle..however one of my favorite counter places is tangerine cafe so i would probably go to marrakesh,,,plus the cms in morroco were probably the nicest in all of epcot so i really like that country

It was a thought. Ironically, we aren't eating at any of the signature places either for our trip. I love those restaurants, but it would be too much to use 2 credits each. We hope to try CRT as well in Jan. Have fun on your trip!

We liked CRT for dinner last spring, but we're meat eaters. The prime rib is very good. So is the Caesar salad. I liked the ambiance of the place even without characters.

Boma is outstanding - make sure you save room for dessert!

Since you wrote some meals would be out of pocket I assumed you were on the dining plan. Is Chefs de France on the Dining Plan now? It wasn't before and I would like to try it.
