DIS'ers-
Ok, heres the deal. Im normally lazy by nature, but when it comes to a Disney vacation, I cant be stopped. I have been tirelessly planning for the last couple of months to make sure that everything is perfect for my trip in Sept. My girlfriend and I will be going by ourselves. No kids (dont have any), No parents, No pets, No friends. Its just a week with her and I. We are both in our mid-twenties (ok, Im in my late twenties) and she has never been to WDW before. I fully anticipate her to have the time of her life. I know I will. We will be there from Sept 22-28.
I sketched out a rough plan of action. Jill would kill me if I planned our trip down to the second. Not so much because of the planning, but the constant nagging of we need to be at this point NOW, and were not ever CLOSE!! So, I just posted a rough outline if you will.
I would really like to get a water park in at some point during the week but I just cant find the time right now. The hours are a lot shorter in the parks in Sept. Once the schedules are released I may be able to work something out. The plan is tight right now, but were still youthful and we (read as I) dont have a problem getting up EARLY and going all day long.
I chose AK on Sunday because I didnt want to do Universal both Sat. and Sunday. I have a feeling that IOA gets pretty crowded on the weekend. I would rather have a more crowded day at AK than IOA. Please feel free to critique, make comments, or make fun of my itinerary.
I recently read on another thread that Rock and Roll Roller Coaster and Thunder Mountain may be closed for renovations while we are there. If that happens, you will hear the scream from Orlando. I can't imagine that they would close 2 coasters at the same time, but who knows. As long as Mission Space is open sometime during our trip I will be ok with some other closings.
Monday: Arrive at 2:00 at MCO. Pick up car and check in to Coronado Springs Resort. Probably head to Downtown Disney and DisneyQuest. Eat at Wolfgang Puck Café for dinner. Pleasure Island that night for some drinks.
Tuesday: Extra Magic hour at MGM. Probably stay at MGM until weve done it all, TWICE! Lunch: Brown Derby. Dinner at Fultons in DD. Night swim back at CSR.
Wednesday: Extra Magic Hour at Epcot. Spend the day at hope and pray that my girlfriend has gotten me the Living Seas Scuba Dive for my birthday. Dinner at California Grille.
Thursday: Extra Magic Hour at Magic Kingdom. MK all day. Dinner at Schulas.
Friday: Universal Studios Islands of Adventure all day. Dinner ?? Night swimming at CSR.
Saturday: Universal Studios/Pleasure Island Dinner??
Sunday: Animal Kingdom. I have a feeling that were going to be able to do AK in less than a full day, so well probably go back to the other parks and do some of the rides that we liked for a 2nd or 3rd time. Boma for dinner.
Monday: Leave early a.m. to go back to Austin.
