Day 4 (Sea Day):
We hit the Goofy Pool early eating our first breakfast from deck nine aft (rolls, coffee and cocoa for the kids). The kids bobbed in the pool (void of anyone else) for a good hour. The water was warm. We then grabbed some breakfast at Beach Blanket Buffet, then headed to the Mickey Pool. Wed spent three days trying to talk my daughter into the slide knowing shed love it (and knowing that wed hear But I never got to go down the Mickey Slide all the way home if she didnt), and this morning she went down it .and down it and down it and down it. I left DH with the kids and went and packed us up.
We went shopping and bought DS a new Captain Hook Coat and DD a princess dress. She went back to the room to change out of her swimsuit and put the princess dress on and it didnt come back off until bed (and she really wanted to sleep in it). We had a very nice lunch at Tritons and Id really recommend eating lunch here where they treat you as well as dinner and you dont have to bother with buffets. Lunch was a good as dinner.
We took our princess and DS to the matinee of Disney Dreams. Our favorite show was Hercules - and to us it went downhill from there (not that Disney Dreams wasnt good, it was just our least favorite). I think we are in the minority here most people seem to like Hercules the least and Disney Dreams the most. After days of great weather, we ran out of luck and the rest of the trip was wet and overcast with choppy seas.
We checked the kids into the kids club so they could participate in the show, and finished packing while they rehearsed. Checking them in took a while all the parent had the same idea and the show was filled with kids. So check your kids in early and if you do the matinee, leave quickly to get your kids checked in. The show was cute (my son did a great job participating, my daughter still in her princess dress, sat in the front with the rest of the little kids and looked a little shell shocked but cute). Checking the kids back out for dinner was a lot easier knowing that a ton of parents would be picking up they had four checkout lines open. We turned in our pagers the kids were having dinner with us on the last night and then we were turning in for an early bedtime.
My daughter snoozed through dinner we woke her so she could have a final Mickey bar. I had the Lobster Bisque, the California Roll, the lamb and finished it off with the Napoleon. It was all delicious and the Napoleon was the best dessert wed had all trip. DH took the kids to bed and read his book, while I indulged my guilty vice of teenage girl movies and saw Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. The hubby packed up the clothes the kids were wearing (and then pulled out my sons pants remembering Id said hed wear the same pants home), and moved the luggage outside (needs to be done by 11pm)
