Criminal Minds -- DIS Official Thread 1 (SPOILERS!)

I guess I missed something. Who is the guy who let her get kidnapped when she was younger and who is now sending her a flower?

It's the same guy. Since it's all in flashback, we don't really know who it is yet. At the end of last week's episode Prentice met with some Scottish guy from her past, in a restaurant. He said some Russian guy escaped prison and is off the grid, in hiding somewhere, out to get them all. That they were all in danger.

I assume the guy we saw this week is that Russian guy who escaped and he sent Prentiss a flower to let her know he knows where she lives and to expect him to show up.

But, he could also be part of the "they" that the Scottish guy mentioned.

Since that guy who let her get taken away talked to someone on the phone right after and said the police or MI5 or some governmental agencies were there, I thought that meant Prentiss was picked up by the government and her cover (if she was undercover) was blown - in order to get out. That the guy would eventually realize she was just a plant in that situation.

But, that is just my guess. We still don't know enough of the situation.

I'm also assuming that since all this happened overseas, she doesn't want to involve the FBI as they deal with US/domestic stuff and this would fall more under CIA type of territory. Plus she wouldn't want Hotch taking her off the team. An agent with a price on her head is not actually good for the team. It puts them all at risk. What if the guy is a sniper and shoots at her, misses and kills a member of the team instead?

My question is...where were Prentiss and Sergio going? I mean obviously she wanted to get out of her apartment, but I don't see a hotel letting her stay with her cat...I'm fascinated with the cat It was just so random. That cat has been a bigger part of the show than Seaver

I agree. Kill off Seaver!

The Motel 6 and a few other hotels are actually cat friendly. When I traveled with my cat, I actually snuck her in the side entrance by the parking lot, so the front desk wouldn't see her. Nowadays, they probably have security cameras on all the doors.

I'm thinking we'll discuss it here. The show is on right after CM is over, so we can just keep on chatting. We don't even know if we will like the show enough to keep talking about it long-term yet.

If it gets too unwieldy to talk about both shows on the same thread, or we get some people who really hate the show and never want to talk about it, and others that love it and want to discuss it each week, we can split off later with a spin-off thread.

Has the DIS ever had a TV show thread that had a spin-off come of it, and was also discussed? I know CSI & Law & Order both had spin-offs, but no one made threads for them?

I'm hoping that the spinoff premiere is better than the one that they did last Fall. I didn't think that the group meshed real well together and I just couldn't wrap myself around Forrest Whitaker. But then I couldn't get interested in the guy that took Grissom's place on CSI and stopped watching the show until recently. Now I'm watching it again and not having a problem with it. Maybe it just took time for the guy to grow into his part. I also don't watch NCIS Los Angeles. I just can't get into the characters.

Me, too. Supposedly, CBS was also rather lukewarm to that first episode and made the producers rework the show for a bit. Sometimes it does take several episodes to warm up to a new show as they are busy introducing everyone and their backgrounds. Plus, it takes time for the writing to hit it's stride.

When is the next new episode of CM on?

New CM episode this Wednesday nite, followed right after with the spin-off: CM: Suspect Behavior. So set your recorders for 9-11pm (EST) or get an extra bowl of popcorn to sit through both shows back to back.

Nope, I think theme parks are safe. But I'm guessing that will happen in a future episode. That's about the only thing they haven't covered yet



Did anyone notice that Seaver has been added to the opening credits?
